14. Confession?

Someone opened a closet to reveal a teenage girl sitting there. This someone fell and embraced her.

And the girl who was oblivious while sitting there

is her

Hiyori

Hiyori is warm while I'm embracing her. She's been wrapped around in a blanket and sitting in this closet for quite some time I can feel.
Hiyori didn't move at all while I was breathing in her sweet and- SWEATY scent...
I tried not to focus on that...there's a bigger problem I have to deal with right now.

Suddenly I felt someone wrap their arms around me. I looked over my shoulder to see Hiyori's arms around me.

"Why...Why are you here? How...How did you know I was here?" Hiyori said in a sad tone while her face was pressed against my chest.

"I don't know...I just followed your scent." I said and leaned my chin on her head. I felt giggling against my chest.

"What's so funny?" I asked

"I don't know, it just sounds so ridiculous."

"Tch, you know what's ridiculous? You not answering my calls and avoiding me at school!" I said grumpily.
"It's been several months now! What have you been doing? Why are you avoiding me?"

Hiyori didn't say anything.

"Do you know how much pain I've been through because I haven't been able to speak with you properly?" Tears started to pour down my face as I thought back to every day that I thought about Hiyori, and how I had no way of speaking with her.

Until now.

I pulled mysef back to be able to take a look at her face. Her bangs covered her eyes, but I could see tears pour down from her face as well.

I frowned in sadness as I couldn't understand Hiyori at all.

"Hiyori?"

She didn't say anything as she kept staring at the ground blankly.

"Hey, Hiyori!?" I shaked her a little, but she didn't react at all.

"Stop staring at the ground and say something!" Lots of tears poured down my cheeks, down my chin and onto the ground.

I don't understand her at all. First she runs away from me without saying anything, then she's out of reach for several months, and now when I finally meet her, after all this time I've been suffering from not being able to see her, she doesn't even speak with me properly.

I shrugged and leaned my face closer to hers as I brushed her bangs away with my hand. My eyes widened a little as I saw her eyes soaked wet with tears running down like crazy. I had never seen anyone cry as much as Hiyori did right now.

"Hiyori, I don't understand you at all." I shaked my head slowly.
"First you run away, then you're out of reach for several months, and now you won't even speak with me properly!" I cried as I stared into her pink shiny orbs as she looked into my clear blue orbs filled with as much tears as hers.
