"Dude. Why do kids need so much crap?" Dean exclaimed as he entered one of the many aisles Walmart had dedicated to babies. He looked at where Cas lay sleeping in the baby seat attached to the shopping cart. He sighed before digging through the supplies, tossing things that he deemed necessary into the cart. And of course, because Dean has the worst luck ever, all of the stuff being put in the cart just had to wake up Cas after Dean spent over two hours putting him to sleep. The baby looked around with bleary eyes, trying to find something familiar.

When he couldn't find anything that he knew, he began to fuss. He began to squirm in distress, knocking his blanket onto the floor. Dean swore as he realized what had happened and he dumped the last of the junk he had been holding into the back of the cart before running around to the front.

"Stop cryi- WHOA!" Dean exclaimed as he slipped on the blanket and fell on the ground. He muttered darkly as he grabbed the blanket and stood up.
"It's fine Cas. You're okay. Stop crying." Dean told the fledgling, lifting him out of the baby seat. He bounced him a little bit trying to get him to stop crying.

"Seriously dude? Control your kid." Dean turned to see some 14 year old kid glaring at him and Castiel.

"Dillon! Be polite!" A very pregnant woman slapped his arm and turned to Dean apologetically.
"I'm so sorry sir. I'm sure being an only father for an newborn isn't easy." Dean just gave an awkward shrug and just tried to focus on quieting Cas down.

"Yeah, that's right Cas. You're okay." Dean said to him as he finally located the dang pacifier and slipped it into Castiel's mouth.

"He's adorable. How old is he?" The woman asked, smiling at Cas.

"Uh, new. Really new." Dean muttered, not liking where this conversation was going.

"Oh, he's so little and cute. May I hold him?" She asked, looking at Dean for permission.

"Uh, sorry but we should get going. He definitely needs to get back to his nap. If you'll excuse us." Dean said, not really wrong about being polite. He cradled Cas with one hand and grabbed the cart, steering it away from the woman and her annoying son.
"Geez. You are more trouble than you are worth Castiel." Dean growled and the angel stared up at him, before yawning softly. Dean walked past a couple of women who were wandering around and they both stopped and awed at them as they walked by. Dean raised an eyebrow and looked down at the kid. "Well, you may be handy for something." He said thoughtfully, glancing back at the ladies.
