ARIA’S POV

KKRRRIIINNGG!!! KKRRRIIINNNGG!!!

I woke up at the sound of my alarm ringing like crazy. It’s not like I have a choice..

Monday, I thought.

It’s the first day of school after summer vacation.

Parang kelan lang ako nag-graduate from high school, pero ngaun.. I’m taking my first step on the University. More challenges ahead, new life experiences for sure, at syempre same old friends.. Dumdame nga lang. Pero sabe nila yun naman daw yung best part ng college life, yung mga friends na makikilala mo along the way. Kasi you’ll never know one of ‘em might be your Ms Perfect/Mr Right.

I reached out for my phone on my bedside table and had pressed the dismiss button para tumigil na yung nakakabinging ingay neto.

It’s too early to get out of bed para maligo and I also find it too early para magsalita (tuyo pa ata kasi yung laway ko) kaya tahimik lang akong nanunood habang pabalik-balik namang nagliligpit si Shannon.

“Hoy! Ano? Ba’t di ka sumasagot?”

“Hoy, may pangalan ako.. And suppose I was still asleep, did you really expect me to respond, Shan?”

“Duh?! Kaya nga nauso yung compound na “SLEEPTALK” di ba? Prepare ka na nga kasi, Aria.. Ayokong ma-late, first day pa naman.”

Ganyan si Shannon. Since we were little, masipag talaga siyang pumasok pag school days. She’s pretty, sexy and she’s naturally smart. She’s almost perfect. (“Almost” kasi wala namang perpekto di ba? Tsaka magtira tayo para saken. Hah!) Anyway, she actually graduated with honors nung high school at katulad ko, scholar din siya sa South Harmon State University. Although being the daughter of the most respected CEO, Antonio De la Vega of a prestigious computer company, she really didn’t need a scholarship.

My family’s riches aren’t pretty bad as well.. In fact, my father is one of the most influential business tycoons in the country but that doesn’t compare to what the De la Vegas’ have. Unlike our Dads, Shannon and I doesn’t really care about the money kaya siguro nagkasundo kami sa simula pa lang at dahil na din sa kagustohan naming maging independent, we took the scholarship together and choose to live a simple life. By simple, I meant from Shannon’s perspective.

Oh! Right.. I almost forgot to introduced myself, my bad. Anyway, I’m 16. A college-harmonian-freshman-stud and (pardon my modesty) but I’m  the cutest of the cutest you’ll ever meet. Chos lang! The name’s Arrianne Kristyne Duvall, by the way. And this is my story.

Woah.

The last time I stepped foot on this school was just a couple months ago and I was beyond amazed sa laki’t ganda ng looban noon but right now it looks even bigger than I remembered.
