ARIA'S POV

I came around realizing I was in a whole new place.. Okay, well, not exactly.

Nang magising ako napuna kong nasa isang malaking room ako. May mga estudyanteng nakaupo sa mga armchairs around me at lahat may kanya-kanyang notebook sa arm rest. May malapad na blackboard sa harap at professor na nakatayo’t nagsasalita sa gitna. I’m seated pretty much in front, 2nd row 4th column, kaya kitang-kita talaga ako pag nasa harap ka.

Classroom? Nasa classroom nako? Pero papano? Anong nangyare? Bat ako nandito?

“Good Morning, Sleeping Beauty. How’s your sleep?”

Aww. Yung professor yung nagsalita. How long have I been asleep?

“You’ve been asleep the whole time. Do you have anything to say for yourself?”

Naku! Kung minamalas ka nga naman oh. And what the heck is up with this school? Mind reading is pretty much trending lately.

“I’m sorry, Sir. I-I just had a long night..”

“Oh, did you now? Hmm.. We don’t tolerate these behaviors in class, Miss Duvall. On the bright side, it’s the first day of class so I’ll let it go. For now.”

“I-it won’t happen again, Sir.”

“Sure won’t.. I’ll keep my eyes on you.”

He looked at my direction grinning like a mad dog which made me shiver.

Ew. Beast! Literally, he’s a beast.

He looks like a mad scientist sa hitsura niya with his slight dirty-looking labcoat, some silver hair on his goatee and a geeky-looking glasses. His voice is crackly making him sound like an old croak with tonsilitis and he’s got eyes that twitches every once in a while making him look even scarier. I didn’t mind him though..

The whole time, I kept thinking kung papano ako napadpad dito..

“E-excuse me.. Uhm, how long have I been here?”

Pabulong kong tanong sa seatmate kong babae na walang ginawa kundi mag-cellphone ng mag-cellphone. She wore a pink floral dress and a pink sandals. I noticed meron din siyang pink bag and yung cellphone case niya pink din.

I know right? Gosh! Miss Pinky, ikaw ba yan?

I’m not the biggest fan of pink nor purple because those who are, parang lahat-lahat na lang ng nagiging gamit nila is of the same shades and colors. I don’t have anything against those, mind you, kaya lang parang uber naman na masyado kung puro terno-terno na lahat. Okay lang sana kung one or two items lang pero pag lahat? Nakaka-umay na masyado. However, this girl looks decent so I guess it’s all right.

“I-I, honestly, am not sure. Andito ka na kasi when everyone else came in..”

She managed to answer in her low, sweet voice. Despite her elementary-inspired look, she is kinda’ nice.

“Ahh.. Ganun ba? What room is this? Tsaka.. Anong subject ‘toh?”

“Room 110. General Chemistry. Bat di mo alam?”

“Ahh.. Eh.. Kase.. Ano.. W-wala..”

Bat nga ako napunta dito? Yung pagkakaalala ko, naglalakad ako kanina nang bigla ako hinimatay or baka naman nananaginip na naman ako. Sigh.
