I was running and running through the dark forest and Jamie's spirit was chasing me getting ready to capture me for eternity. I tripped on the cat and fell as he caught up to me a captured me in his arms as he started to take in my soul
" No!" I screamed repeatedly, but he wouldn't listen.
"Goodbye…" he said as he raised his ax and got ready to chop me in half. I jumped quickly and started screaming loudly.
"Carrinina! Carri, wake up! Are you ok!" I started to hear as every word came into focus more. I opened my eyes and saw Rikki right there with a highly worried expression on his face. I realized where I was and that it was just him, and immediately I pulled him close to me, cuddled up into him, and started crying historically into his arms. Instead of being beaten, I was stroked and comforted by soothing words. Maybe he is one who actually cares, but I knew he wanted a relationship with me just as much as I wanted to run away with Jamie. I couldn't risk a broken heart, or loss of this friendship. For now I just stayed close to him, safe, and secure. I lay there as he stroked my hair down my back and repeated it as he hummed heart shaped box by nirvana. I breathed in and released as I slowly started to fall asleep. I felt different in his arms than I did in Jamie's. I didn't have a feeling of fake love, I had a feeling of realistic comfort. And I knew I would stay here for a long time. As long as it was possible for me. I couldn't go home after running away. I realized I was over thinking everything way too much, and I really needed to stop and just sleep. I shut off all the stressful thinking, and shortly after I fell asleep to Rikki's low and pacifying tune.Before I knew it I started to open my eyes, and I saw sunshine. I looked around and Rikki wasn't there, So i got up to look for him. There he was in the kitchen cooking eggs and bagels. He looked over at me in his band's shirt, which barely covered up below my waist. He ran over and picked me up into his arms.
"Better sleep after I helped you with my charming lullabies?" He spoke with a perfect blinding white smile.
"Definitely did" I responded laughing.
He spun me around and put me down. He walked back to grab a plate of food for me as he told me to follow him to the table. He pulled out the chair, pushed it back in with me in it, and placed my food in front of me.
" Oh my goodness, thanks! This looks great!" I spoke
"It is I hope. WHy don't you try it." HE said as he walked to get his own. He came back and took a seat as I was chewing the delectable food slowly in my mouth. I finished quickly and sipped on my chocolate milk as I waited for him to consume the last bit.
"Now that we are done, what do you want to do today? We could go bowling, shopping, movies, anything" he offered
"Umm.. I don't have any money what so ever." I spoke timidly
"I do, you deserve whatever you want, its all free. no worries." HE spoke optimistically
"Well I could use some new clothes, and i'd love to see a movie in the theater. "
"Lets do both. anything for you." he said sweetly
"You're so sweet you know that?" I said
" IF I had a girlfriend like you, I would never have beaten her or forced her to move in with me, never let her see her town again? Just cruel."
"Wait, you don't have a girlfriend?" I questioned
"No, I'm waiting for the right girl" He responded
I nodded, and smiled, the thoughts is my head were swarming as bees in a disturbed hive. I realized wanted him more than ever now. But as I already knew, I needed to just wait for him. I couldn't wait for this amazing day to come with the best person I knew. He got out of his boxers and into his midnight black jeans, bring me the horizon shirt that fit just right, that dark brown hair with curls in some places that would always swoop perfectly to his left. In front of me now stood the real guy I had been dreaming of. We were now ready to go have a good time, something i had needed for a long time. He put his arm around my shoulder and led me out the door. I was bursting with excitement and practically leaped into the elevator. I clicked lobby, and the doors lethargically closed. We arrived downstairs where the bellman winked at him. Rikki handed me a jacket and we walked out the door into the crisp air. We started to walk past shops of all sizes, along with ginormous buildings that appeared to reach the sky. We passed b y a small italian restaurant, and thats when rikki led me inside, spoke in italian to the owner and we sat down.
"Thats my dad." he told me
"Bonjourno" his father spoke as he kissed my hand.
" Nice to meet you sir" I said with a grin, as I looked back a Rikki and winked
"Call me paulo" Rikkis dad spoke in an Italian accent.
"Pleasure to meet you Paulo, may I say you've raised your son to be a great man."
"We know, it seems he's found a great woman too huh?" HIs father sad rubbing my back and winking. He then led me to my seat
Rikki ordered a special recipe he made just for me, and he ordered the same. We started to chat as we waited for our food. I looked over rikkis shoulder, and there stood the exact figure of Jamie, but with a sense of transparency. I gasped, Rikki looked back, saw nothing, and grabbed my hands to make sure I was alright.
"Are you okay? You seem to be hallucinating"
" Yea, yea, Its just that. It'll stop" I replied
But would this truly stop, was it just hallucinations?
