4>Bonus story II

(Author's POV)
"i'm back~" Taeyeon said to no one in particular since only silence that greets her once she open the door.
"where is my so called housemates? i don't remember they have any schedule today. except the radio later for SunD. even i can't find Prince fluffy." Taeyeon mumbled to herself.
"Sunkyu-yah~ Miyoung-ah~" she called out.
"we're here!" Taeyeon recognized the owner of that voice, her dandyu partner. her sound came from Tiffany's room.
"what are you guys doing?" Taeyeon asked after get inside the familiar bedroom that belongs to her best friend.
"watching." Sunny answered nonchalantly without taking off her eyes of the laptop screen.
"i know. duh~ i mean what are you guys watching?" Taeyeon tried again.
"can't you just move your butt here and see it by yourself??!" Sunny said half yelling since Taeyeon keep bugging her with questions. she wants to watch here, can't Taeyeon see that? it's one of the crucial scene in the movie. the male lead actor is trying to confess his feeling!
Something weird though. and Taeyeon realize it. the loud bubbly Tiffany Hwang, didn't even utter any single word ever since she came. what happened with her? sore throat? toothache?
"Fany-ah, you're okay?"
"i'm okay." Tiffany answered rather coldly.
"that sounds not okay though."
"what do you mean?" Tiffany asked with the same cold tone she just used earlier. or if i may add, colder this time. Sunny can also sense something wrong by now with Tiffany.
"you're too quiet. that's kind of weird you know." Taeyeon said.
"can't i be quiet too at times?"
"yes you can, but it's just that.. uh just forget it." Taeyeon lost at words and decide not to pry further. she can feel it, how bad Tiffany's mood right now and she didn't want to make the situation worse.
"Sunny-ah, you can continue to watch this. i'm tired. i'll be resting in your room, kay?" strangely the way Tiffany talked to Sunny is way more less-hostile compare to the way she talked to Taeyeon.
"o-kay." Sunny can only nodding her head.
Once Tiffany is no longer in sight,
"what's wrong with her?" Taeyeon asked her danshin partner who can only shaking her head in confusion because she too doesn't have any idea about their housemate's mood swing.
"is it her period? but i think it was last week."
"yah! you even know her period time? cham daedanhae. (wow amazing.)"
"aish, that's not the point, Sunkyu. seriously, what causing her to act like that? especially toward me. did i do something wrong toward her? hm.... i don't think so. i mean i just got home few minutes ago."
"i don't know either, Tae. she was alright before. all loud, talkative and cheerful like always. until we watched this. i thought her silence was because she's absorbing the show."
"huh? what show? what did you guys watch before this movie?" Taeyeon pointed at the laptop screen that playing English romantic movie right now.
"we watched our Naver V live broadcast. you know the pal bang miin."
"which episode?" Taeyeon asked again.
"the one with Irene and then continued to one with Wonder Girls."
"weird, i don't think that could be the cause of her mood swing. i'll check on her now." Taeyeon said before exited Tiffany's bedroom. She was worry about her best friend.
without making any sound, Taeyeon open Sunny's bedroom door. from where she stands right now, she can only see the backview of her best friend who's laying flat on her stomach. slowly Taeyeon make her way to approaching the another girl. that's when she heard her low mumbles.
"what a flirt. keep showing off her charm. throwing her kindness to everyone. pampering them with care."
out of curiosity, Taeyeon asked from behind.
"Who?" she asked.
"who else?! Taey-." Tiffany immediately covered her own mouth with her hand, pressing it hard against her mouth while inwardly cursing her stupidity for blurting things out carelessly.
"Tae who? Is it me? really? you were talking about me earlier? what did i do?" Taeyeon take a seat beside her best friend who already had her face turned into her favorite color, Pink.
"i-i-.." she stuttered.
"spill." Taeyeon demands sternly. she hated it when someone, especially someone she's deeply love and care about (read: her best friend, Tiffany) is mad at her for a reason that she doesn't even have a slightest clue about.
"i- uh.."
"speak properly, Fany-ah. speak slowly. i'm here and i'll wait until you can explain it to me. take your time." Taeyeon said with her gentle voice that make Tiffany's heart a lil bit at ease in instant.
"i was watching our Naver V live broadcast with Sunny earlier. and then uh.. we watched the one when Irene came to our waiting room, but at that time only you, Hyo, Sunny and maknae who left when me and the others have another errand to do so we left first. and.. and then i saw y-you. i saw you takingcareofireneandkeepteasingheronceinawhileandyoulooklikeyoureallyenjoyedit!" there, she said it.
"w-what?" Taeyeon can only blinked her eyes few times in confusion. she really didn't catch what Tiffany said in the end. she can only heard some words like irene, you, it.
"forget it then." Tiffany said (secretly in relief) after knowing Taeyeon didn't catch her last words.
"yah! you speak too fast. can't you repeat it?" Taeyeon pleads with her cute confused-innocent face. how can Tiffany say 'no' to that face.
"*sigh* i said, i saw you taking care of Irene. you keep teasing her like asked her to loosen up a bit, don't have to be so nervous around you and the others. Even asking her question in return and make a nickname for her? 'Irin' isn't it? the others might not realize, but knowing you and your timid personality, you can't easily warm up to strangers. i can see you put some efforts there to talked with Irene, make a light conversation with her so she won't feel so awkward and out of place, and also help her to ease the tension. you obviously taking care of her. You.. care about her."
"err.. is that a bad thing?" Taeyeon asked, again with that cute confused-innocent face that should be rewarded by a kiss on cheek, or lips too will do ;)
"no, it's not. she is our hoobae, and you were just being a good sunbae by helping her out."
"then why you're angry at me for that?"
"it-it's just that i didn't really like the idea of you taking care the others."
"why?"
"b-because.."
"i understand." Taeyeon cut her off while smiling warmly at Tiffany.
"huh? y-you understand? understand what?" Tiffany asked in bewilderment.
"look, you're right. i have a certain interest toward Irene that's why i did what you said earlier. silently taking care of her and stuff. maybe that's just part of my personality. you know i like to take care of the others 'secretly'. but the main reason why i did what i did is because i see the younger me in Irene. seeing her is like seeing the old me, the younger version of me. it's not only because people keep saying she looks like me or what, but i found our personality too somehow kind of similar. maybe it's also because the leader position that she holds, same situation with me, making me want to guide her, to take care of her, that kind of feeling."
"ah i see." Tiffany replied.
"my jealousy best friend~" Taeyeon mumbled loud enough to be heard by her best friend who suddenly feeling her face gets redden again in embarrassment.
"sorry." Tiffany replied weakly.
"it's okay, you silly. i found it cute to see my best friend felt jealous over someone else who gets my attention and care. hahaha~" Taeyeon let out her ahjumma laugh.
"i can't help it, okay? you know i never like to share anything with the others. including sharing you." Tiffany said the last sentence in way more softer voice that more like a whisper but Taeyeon can still hear it. she can't help but smile wider at her best friend possessiveness toward her that she finds it cute and amusing to witnessed.
"but you do know i can't forever be yours only right? i'll get to married someday and that person will be my husband. i will be his. i'll belong to him."
"can't you not say things like that?" suddenly Tiffany said in her croaked voice.
"Fany-ah? you're crying? yah uljimaaaa." Taeyeon said in panic. she immediately pulled her best friend into her embrace for comfort.
"ssstt.. don't cry. i'm sorry. it's all my fault. i'm sorry." Taeyeon said while patting her best friend's back softly, but her words, her caring act, only make it worse, Tiffany cries harder. so instead of talking, Taeyeon decide to kept mum and hugging her best friend tigther, hoping her body warmth wil somehow calming down her best friend.
"s-sorry, Tae. i'm fine now." Tiffany said while sniffing a little and broke the hug.
"you really hate the idea of sharing huh?" Taeyeon tried to lighten up the mood by teasing her best friend.
"uh, whatever. i'm going." Tiffany said while trying to run away as fast as she can from the smirking girl in front of her. she just can't face her best friend, not now, not tomorrow, maybe not for a whole week. sigh, she knows she can't really avoid her since they are in the same group, they will have the same activities and all. even better, they live under the same roof so there's no way she can run away from Taeyeon but at least for now, she really can't face her best friend because she knows Taeyeon will keep having that annoying smirk plastered on her face after witnessing how childish Tiffany was. Get mad at her just because of jealousy. And how she can be a crybaby just at the thought of 'handing' her best friend to his future husband. so silly right? but Tiffany being Tiffany. that overly sensitive and easily to get jealous Tiffany. Well, truth to be told, Taeyeon never complaint about that. instead she feels happy and thankful for having someone who can cherish her as much as Tiffany does. She feels special because of that. Tiffany makes her feel special.
