14>Bonus story 12

I was worried for my dormmate. No, not the shortest shortie. It's the second shortest shortie. She was acting weird earlier. And when i asked her what's wrong, she only shook her head with the sad-look-like-a-lost-puppy eyes. How can she expect me to not worry seeing her in that state. Once we got back to the dorm, i immediately changed my clothes into more homey comfortable clothes and then go to her room.
"Taeyeon-ah, naya (it's me)." I tried to open the door of her room but it's locked.
"Wait." She replied with her weak voice from inside the room. If i didn't know any better, i'll think that she's sick. But i know she's perfectly healthy. It's just she need to eat and rest more. That's it.
Soon enough i heard the 'click' sounds when she unlocked the door and open it for me. This kid, she hasn't remove her make up and still wearing her previous clothes. She didn't even bother to turn on the lamp in her room and let the room engulfed by the darkness. She always like this whenever she has something in mind. Rather than trying to be happy and forget the problem, she prefer to let herself drowning in the pain and her overthinkness. Listen to sad songs just to make her feel sadder? As if she's enjoying the pain. Guess she's actually a masochist.
"Yah, erase your make up first and also change your clothes." I dragged her to the in front of her closet.
"Yes, ma'am." She sarcasticly replied but still obey my orders.
Soon enough she come back with her clean bare face and homey clothes. She wears a white v-neck t-shirt with black shorts. She looks fresher this way.
"Now spill. What is it?" Taeyeon raised one of her eyebrows, as if asking what the heck i'm talking about.
"Eish. The thing that bothering you. I know there is something so don't even try to hide it from me. Spill it or another silent treatment for you. And this time will be longer i tell you." I try to threatened her. I inwardly smirk when i see the worries in her eyes. Surely she didn't want to have me ignoring her again.
"Fine. I'll tell you." She sighed in defeat while i'm happily laughing in my head, celebrating my 'winning'.
"Good choice you made there, Taeyeon Kim."
"Whatever Miss Hwang."
"So?"
"*sigh* the fans didn't like my new haircut, Fany-ah."
"Me neither." I frankly said.
"YAH!" She slapped my arm quite hard and glared at me.
"Ouch! What?!" I glared back at her.
"You should consoled me or something. Saying good things that can make me feel better. Not the other way around! Aish."
"Hahaha sorry, boo. But you know i'm an honest person."
"Then there's no point in telling you this then." Taeyeon starts to sulking. She turned her back on me and laying on her bed with her back facing me. I had to chuckle at her childishness.
"Hey, stop acting like a kid. You're 28 years old this year for goodness' sake." I playfully poked her arm few times with my index finger.
"..."
"So i assumed you have a bad mood because of the fans' reaction of your new hair? Because most of them said they prefer your long hair?" Taeyeon nodded.
"Sometimes i wish you don't have sns, Taeyeon-ah. Sns had cause you so much pain." I positioned myself to lay beside her and slowly sneaking my arms around her waist, backhugging her. Once my arms are wrapped around her, she immediately leaning more into my embrace. I know a warm hug will always make someone feels better no matter how bad or how rough their day is.
"I just can't help it, Fany-ah. I want to know fans' reaction about my new haircut, so i decide to read the comments they wrote."
"Then i believe you also read that they said your hair is super cute and it makes you look younger with your new haircut, right?" She nodded.
"There. You see. Not everyone dislike your new short hair. And you do know that we can't always make all people to think the same way right?" She nodded again.
"There will always be pro and contra for everything, Tae. The most important thing is that they still love you. They might told you that they don't like your current short hair. They might said that they prefer your long hair and you look better with it. But do you realize that the reason why they told you all of that is because they are care about you? If they didn't care about you, they won't even bother to check on your new hairstyle. Or write comment in your sns to voiced out their opinion. It's all because the fans are care about you. They want you to always look stunning at your best. They are watching over you, taking care of you in their way. And since they can't personally tell you, one of the possible way is by leaving comments on your sns. I believe they didn't mean any harm. While on the contrary, if they didn't say anything about it, you should feel sad and worry because that means they are no longer have interest in you. They didn't care about you anymore. But they still do. Just like me, Tae. I honestly told you my opinion about your new haircut. I directly admitted that i prefer your long hair and it suited you best. But it doesn't mean i hate you or something right? It doesn't mean i love you any less either. What matters the most is in the end, we'll still love you just the same. We love you for you. It will be funny though if someone stop loving you just because you changed your hairstyle. Even if there are fans that stop admiring you because of your new hair, then you know they aren't your real fans. And surely you don't need those kind of fans who 'love' you just because your look or outer appearance. So just say thank you and gladly let them go."
"Thank you, Fany-ah. You're the best." Taeyeon breaks the backhug just so she can give me a proper hug. I used to be the one who loves the skinship and be clingy toward her but now, not anymore because she is clingy too toward me. And i'm glad that she is.
Well, if any Locksmith see this, they surely will fainted with a huge smile on their face, i told you.
"And Tae?"
"Yes, Fany?"
"Is this also the reason why you haven't update your instagram for 5 days now?"
"*shy giggles* you know me best, Fany-ah." She buried her face deeper in the crook of my neck and tighten the hug.
