movie night ; hinata shoyo

it was a normal day at karasuno high.

"(y/n)!!" you hear a voice call after you. every student turned to you.

"hi hinata." you say shyly. his arm draped around your neck while you blush, a lot. kageyama slowly dragged his feet towards you and hinata.

"oh kageyama! i thought you were following us!" hinata's eyes trail down to his box of milk.

"i stopped by a vending machine. tch. you don't have to yell." kageyama rolls his eyes and walks to his desk.

the school bell rings and you and hinata seperate. you sit right across from tsukishima in class, and you knew for a fact that he was tough.

"(y/n)." a voice says from behind you. you turn around facing tsukishima.

"what?" you say, hesitating. you didn't want to strike up conversation.

"that little shrimp, he likes you, a lot. he's planning to ask you on a date." he says quietly.

you turn to look at hinata, his head resting on his desk.

"wait, how would you know? he wouldn't tell you anything like that." you asked, concerned.

"i overheard him and kageyama talking. he was asking for advice. now get back to work before sensei sees us." he rolls his eyes and continues doing his notes.

you turn back to your notes, but you can't seem to concentrate. hinata, asking you on a date? was tsukishima just lying? he knew you liked hinata, he used his 'cleverness' to find that out. you let those thoughts aside and stared out the window.

you jogged over to the volleyball court after school, knowing that hinata would be there.

you see kageyama tossing to hinata.

"oh! (y/n)! can we talk in private for a moment?" hinata asks. kageyama looks down at hinata.

"yeah, of course." you say nervously. hinata takes your hand and walks you out of the gym.

"so (y/n).. i've been wanting to ask you this for a bit now. would you like to go out on a date with me?" he says, his cheeks flushing pink.

you pause for a moment, he gets more nervous.

"i-i mean you don't h-have to!" he says sadly.

"no! i'd love to!" you smile at him.

"i'll be at your house at 6pm. is that okay?" hinata smiles brightly.

"yeah, that's perfect." you smile back.

"see you at 6 then!" he runs back in the court grinning and jumping.

you smile, you were definitely going to have fun.

the doorbell rang. you jumped up to answer it.

"hello hinata!" you grin. he looks as happy as ever.

"hi (y/n)!" he smiles and giggles. "come in." you smile. he comes in with a couple of blankets and a bag.

"what's in the bag?" you ask. "tsk, tsk, tsk, (y/n). you have to wait!" he smiles. you groan.

you take a seat on the couch and he puts a disc in the dvd player.

"i brought (your favorite movie)!" hinata exclaims.

your heart fluttered.

"thank you hinata. this means a lot." you say in awe.

"it's nothing." he laughs and looks at the ground.

hinata grabs the blankets and the bag and lays down next to you. his arms wrap around your waist as the movie plays.

he takes out all your favorite candy and snacks out of the bag, even if they weren't his favorite.

"hinata... you didn't have to go this far.." you grin at him.

"it's okay. as long as it's for you."

you blush as he rubs his nose against yours. this moment was perfect.

you continue watching the movie while cuddling. then the end credits start playing.

"hey (y/n)?" hinata says behind you.

you turn to him and you feel soft and warm lips touch yours. you feel surprised at first and kiss back.

the kiss felt like it lasted, but it ended in a matter of a few seconds.

you pull away, foreheads touching.

"would you like to be my girlfriend?" hinata says.

"i'd love to."
