arranged ; yūtarō kindaichi

your parents were friends with the kindaichis'. your mom was pregnant with you and kindaichi's mom was pregnant too. your parents made a deal to his that when you turned 16, you had to meet him and fall in love with him. today was your first time meeting him.

you put on a simple short black dress with some ran gladiator sandals. your friend helped you curl your hair.

"so, who's the guy you're marrying?"

"i don't know yet." you say.

"that's a little weird because it's not true love.

"i'll just have to deal with him either way. it's an arranged marriage. i have to marry him."

"what it (b/f/n) gonna think?"

you instantly froze. you totally forgot about your boyfriend.

"i'll have to break up with him."

your friend sighed.

"good luck with that." she curled the last strand.

"good luck on your date also, (y/n)."

"thanks, i'll be needing it."

your friend leaves your house and you find yourself waiting for your date to arrive.

"(y/n)! come down here!" you hear your mom's voice.

"coming.."

you walk downstairs to see the kindaichis'. you turn your head to see a boy in an all black tuxedo.

you burst out laughing at his hair. he looked like a turnip.

"(y/n)! be polite." your mother scolded you.

"i-i'm sorry! it's just his-" you take another glance at his hair and burst out laughing again.

you finally start to calm down.

"shall we go?" the boy said awkwardly.

"i'm sorry. sometimes i can't control my laughter." you say while your date drives off to who knows where.

"it's fine. your laugh is cute."

you blush.

"i think that's a compliment, thank you."

"it is. you also look really pretty in that dress."

"you don't look too bad yourself, turnip-head."

you start laughing again, and this time, he laughs with you.

"so, i forgot to ask, what's your name?" you ask as he pulls up into a expensive looking resteraunt.

"yūtarō kindaichi."

"(f/n) (l/n)."

you both get seated at a table.

"so.." you say awkwardly.

he looks down at his utensils.

out of the corner of your eye, you see a familiar face.

your boyfriend? with another girl?

you start tearing up.

"if you'll excuse me for a sec.." you mumble.

kindaichi nods as you rush off to the bathroom.

you stare into the mirror, your light makeup slightly smudged. you sniffle and wipe your eyes, trying to fix the makeup.

then you hear a knock.

"(y/n)? you okay? you've been in there for about 5 minutes..." you hear a voice.

"yeah, yeah." you sniff. "i'm fine." you open the door to see kindaichi.

you sit down and order your food.

"(y/n)?!" you hear a voice

it was your boyfriend.

"what the hell are you doing?"

"u-um i-"

"she's on a date with me. you must be her boyfriend. you don't look very trustworthy." kindaichi interrupts and glares at your boyfriend.

"cheating i see?" your boyfriend says.

"what about you?" kindaichi says snarkily and casts a glare at the girl. "we have an arranged marriage. she doesn't even need you." kindaichi angrily grabs your hand and pulls you out of the resteraunt.

"kindaic-" before you can even finish his name he roughly turns you around to face him. he kisses you passionately. you felt something you've never felt with your now ex boyfriend. your stomach did a flip as he swiped his tongue across your lips.

"he doesn't need you (y/n)." he whispers against your lips.

"kindai-"

"call me by my first name, we're dating now."

"yūtarō.." you mumble.

"i'm already mad about you, and we just met."

"now let's start off slowly. will you be my girlfriend (y/n)?"

"of course yūtarō."

you were 18 now, and you've been dating yūtarō for two years. you loved him, and he loved you.

you walk down the aisle, slightly sniffling from crying. you look up to see yūtarō in his tuxedo, he looked, well, like a prince, and you were his princess.

"now, you may kiss the bride."

yūtarō grins at you before holding the small of your back, bending you over, and kissing you passionately. the crowd cheered and whistled, both of your parents were proud of you, and you knew your best friend was also cheering you on.

"i love you, (y/n)." yūtarō smiles against your lips.

"and i, you."
