sugawara smiled at your hands as you two walked to the gym. "wait there (y/n). i just need to have a quick meeting with the team." you sat on the stage, waiting for sugawara to finish his meeting.
you see kiyoko run past. you sigh sadly. you were no near as pretty as kiyoko. the boys at karasuno swooned at the sight of her. you wish you were her. then you instantly thought, 'why did sugawara choose you?' you felt heartbroken. he must've felt sorry. you weren't good for sugawara, you were out of his league.

"(y/n)-chan come onnn, get in the water already!" sugawara whined and splashed water at you from the indoor swimming pool. "no." you sighed and covered yourself with a dry towel. "(y/n). i know there's something wrong. please tell me." sugawara looked at you with sad eyes. you looked all around you, pretty girls in pretty bathing suits.
"you're insecure aren't you? you think you aren't good enough." sugawara lifted himself out of the pool. "(y/n). i don't love you because of your looks. i love you because you're you. you don't need a perfect body, because you're already beautiful. you're beautiful the way you are." sugawara cupped your cheeks with his hands.
"thanks suga. i needed that." you wiped the tears that formed in your eyes.
"cmon! let's go swimming!" sugawara pulled your hand and you laughed, dropping the towel and following him.
