happy birthday ; tsukishima kei

today was your birthday, you were waiting for tsukishima's happy birthday text.

five minutes passed.

then thirty.

then an hour.

everyone of your friends sent a 'happy birthday' text instead of tsukishima.

you were hurt, you've been dating for three years and he forgot your birthday?

you decided to get out for a bit, go get a coffee or something to make you feel better.

you put on your shoes and start walking to the nearest café.

you enter and see nishinoya and asahi enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate.

"hey (y/n)! happy birthday!" nishinoya puts his cup of hot chocolate and engulfs you into a hug. you hug the small libero back. you both pull away and you turn to asahi.

"happy birthday (y/n)!" asahi gives you a short hug. once he pulls away you say, "by any chance, have you seen tsukishima?"

they both turn pale, like they've seen ghosts.

"no, sorry, why?" nishinoya coughs awkwardly. "this seems like a joke, but he hasn't sent a happy birthday text yet and i feel like he's forgotten.."

asahi almost spit out the coffee he was drinking. "how could he forget? that kid's crazy about you." nishinoya looks up to asahi.

"we better get going sorry. we have..." nishinoya pauses for a moment to figure out what he's going to say. "to watch a movie!" asahi blurts out.

nishinoya takes a envelope out of his pocket. "open this when no ones looking. happy birthday (y/n)."

nishinoya and asahi leave.

you get (favorite drink) then sit at a table. you open the envelope and read it.

you get up slowly and exit. you walk to you and tsukishima's favorite spot, which was a cliff side where you saw fireworks on your first date.

then you see sugawara. "wait..your not tsukishima.." you mumble. suga laughs. "happy birthday (y/n)." suga hands you a envelope, similar to what nishinoya gave you. you opened it.

'go to our place where we had our first kiss.'

you ran to the gates of karasuno high. then you see kageyama standing there. you groan.

"what? not happy to see me?" kageyama frowned. "no, i thought you were tsukishima.." you trail off.

he gives you another envelope. "happy birthday (y/n)."

you take the envelope and read.

'first fight'

that was down the street right next to the foothill store.

you ran down and see hinata.

"happy birthday (y/n)!" he grins happily and hands you the next envelope.

'your favorite resteraunt'

you ran over to (favorite resteraunt) and you saw daichi. 'when willI this scavenger hunt be over?' you mumbled to yourself.

daichi smiled at you and handed you a another envelope. surprise. "happy birthday (y/n)." he smiles.

'first tickle fight'

you ran back to tsukishima's house. you see chikara.

he hands you another envelope and smiles. "happy birthday (y/n)."

'ice cream on fridays'

you jogged over to your favorite ice cream place, you go after school on fridays.

then you see tanaka. "woo hoo! happy birthday (y/n)!" tanaka hands you a envelope.

'last one: where we first met'

you thought about this for a few minutes. you and tsukishima were childhood friends.

the park!

you run to the park as fast as your legs can carry you.

then you see the whole volleyball team, except tsukishima.

then tsukishima came out wearing a tux and holding a bouquet of roses.

"happy birthday (y/n), i love you so much." he says. tears were streaming down your face.

"now that you've found your treasure. i can do this." tsukishima bends down on one knee. you gasp and hiccup.

"(y/n), i've loved you for a long time now. ever since we were kids. remember when i said we were going to get married soon? well we are now. (y/n), would you take the honors of spending the rest of your life with me?"

tears were streaming down your face.

"yes, i will marry you tsukishima kei. i love you so much."

the volleyball team started cheering.
