I could still see the moon and stars as the car drove on to the airport. It was supposed to be early morning but the darkness and the constant yawning throughout the car, said otherwise. I was cuddled close to Finn. Tonight was the first night I had felt a slight chill in the air and I had a light cardigan on and Finn's warm arms to fend away the cold.

It was quiet in the jeep, I think the end-of-holiday depression had set in hard. For me, another adventure was about ensue, but for the rest of the car, reality was waiting at the other end of the flight.

The window was dirty but I still intently watched through it at the passing memories. Houses started occasionally flashing past, then stores and buildings. And too soon, we were driving in to the airport car park.

"To the left, there," Maz pointed to an empty park between two cars. Jack followed Maz's finger and we parked surprisingly close to the airport entrance.

Jack made a call to the man who he rented the jeep off. And as he did this we started to help Sam out of the back seat he was compressed into with all the luggage.

Zoe and Louise held each other closer than usual as they scuttled off to the airport cafe. It was mandatory to come 2 hours early for an international flight and they must have been finding a place to waste the time away.

Caspar didn't follow behind, he stayed close to Sam and Maz. I had a suspicion that just as the holiday, Zoe and Caspar's romance was over.

After checking in our luggage the rest of the group minus Zoe and Louise, separated further into two. The boys and Finn and I.

We would meet up in an hour and a half to board. Me and Finn searched through the airport for somewhere relatively quiet. A table at a coffee shop with a massive bookcase lining the walls, seemed the only place where some peace and quiet could be manageable.

Finn guarded the table while I ordered. Sitting down with the hot drinks burning my palms, I saw a glimpse of Finn's passport photo over his shoulder.

"Can I have a look?" I asked sweetly, and smiling hopefully.

He tightened his grip on the passport and laughed.

"No."

"Finny," I begged, "I won't laugh, I swear"

I held out my pinky finger for him to join in a pinky promise.

"You know what? Sure you can"

I grabbed at the passport quickly but he pulled away, holding it away out of my arms reach.

"If," Finn emphasised, "I can see yours,"

I dug through my carry-on bag and found my passport.
