Luke
-----------
Shaking, sweating, tossing around under the thin blanket that covered him.
Time is ticking
Tartarus's voice echoing in the silence.
Spill the blood of a descendent of the Big Three
Or else you will return to me.
He sat up quickly, taking off his shirt and wiping the sweat off his forehead. Luke would do anything to avoid the underworld. The suffering pain, the unbreathable air, and the tormented souls, afraid he'd become one. His eyes squinted across the dark cabin, the only light emitting from the alarm clock next to him.
His eyes landed upon an empty bed. Trinity's bed.
He quickly sat up, grabbing the necklace Tartarus had given him.
Have them perish while wearing this necklace,
Their soul will be mine, the job will be done.
You will be spared.
He pulled his shirt back on and walked out of the cabin, flashlight in hand. Avoiding sleep was the best thing for him, yet his eyes gently closed from time to time.
Luke continued his trek toward the woods, sensing a presence near him.
"What brings you up, this late in the hour?", Chiron's soft voice emitted from behind Luke.
"Trinity. Where is she?", he asked, almost worried. He hadn't seen her at all in the afternoon.
"Poor child took a beating from Clarisse. That's not even the worse part, however.", he joined Luke as they walked together.
"No one trusts her, do they?", Luke asked.
"No one trusts either of you. But I do trust her.", Chiron murmured, his eyes staring at the darkness ahead of him.
Luke sighed in frustration.
"I'm gonna check up on her.", he said, and turned toward the infirmary.
Chiron paused for a second.
"I will leave you to it. But Luke-", he faltered, then rethought his words.
"Never mind. I will see you in the morning.", he galloped away into the night.Trinity
----------
The creak of the infirmary room door startled me. The sad part was, Chiron assigned me a private room just in case Clarisse wanted to pick a fight again. Lucky, it wasn't her.
Luke walked in with silence. My hand reached for the lamp besides me and clicked it on, illuminating the sandy haired, blue eyed male.
"Karma's a bitch.", I broke the silence, and he chuckled.
"You did not throw me into a tree using water. It was most likely Percy's excitement. And I don't blame him.", Luke sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes never leaving mine. Tension hung in the air for a moment.
"Why'd you come visit me at-", I glanced at the clock. "4:23 am?", I said, rubbing my tired eyes, then wincing from the pain in my ribs. Clarisse can really kick.
"Can't sleep, after visiting the underworld and all.", He said, his eyes showing the slight pain from his experience.
I scooted into a sitting position, remembering what Percy had told me about Luke as he walked me to the infirmary.
"Nearly killed me. He was the bad guy for a while, but then sacrificed himself to kill Kronos. I'm not sure if he's the good Luke, but I can tell you that he did change before he died. Now that he's back, we have to be careful, but we also have to keep an open mind."
Percy was right. Luke had already noticed my slight fear of his dark past.
"Do you know what it's like to see...a river of tormented souls. Their wails crying for you to save them, but you can barely breathe yourself? Do you know what it's like to watch people forget about what you did to save them? Do you know what it's like to be forgotten?", he asked quietly.
This was a rare moment, seeing someone in their softer side.
"No, I haven't exactly been to the underworld, but I know that it isn't really a recommended vacation spot.", I joked, hoping to light up the mood, but Luke just stared at me.
"But I can tell you, everyone at some point has felt forgotten. It's human nature, to forget. It's part of moving on, Luke. People forget, and maybe not forgive, but they will keep moving on from the past. You should forget, too." I advised him.
"What if all they're doing now is remember?", Luke asked.
My eyes turned toward the lamp.
"Then make them forget who you were. Make them remember who you are now." I looked toward him, but he was already leaning in. A soft, delicate kiss sealed the conversation.
My face sparked red, and after he left, all I was able to do was remember.

Luke
---------
I shouldn't have kissed her.
Luke thought to himself.
I couldn't help it. Her deep green eyes and brown hair tied back, showing her complexion and face...
He shook his head as he entered his cabin. He should be worried about the 30 days he had left before he needed to end the life of a descendent of the Big Three.
Son of Poseidon...
Son of Zeus...
Son of Hades...
Luke thought to himself, realizing a son of Zeus was in a Roman demigod camp. He crossed that off his mental list.
A son of hades and a son of Poseidon was in camp half blood.
He shook his head, reminding himself he still has 30 days before he needed to end someone's life.
The next morning his necklace swayed back and forth, his blue eyes marked on the mess hall as he left his cabin once more.

Jacob
--------
Jacob eyed his half sister, Annabeth. She looked worried and stressed out. He sat down at the Athena table after sacrificing part of his breakfast to his mother, Athena.
"What's up?", he asked, nudging her.
Annabeth shrugged, then looked up at Jacob.
"What do you know about Trinity?", she asked, and Jacob sighed.
"Trinity is the nicest person I've known. I can see why some people hold her accountable for these strange events." Jacob chowed on his stack of mini waffles. He knew he ate like a cow, but was as fit as ever.
"It's like she's cursed or something.", Annabeth rubbed her temples, as if conjuring up some memory that hurt.
"She's my friend, and I still haven't gotten hurt.", Jacob chuckled, but his smile vanished.
"Don't jinx yourself." Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"I'm just wondering when she'll be claimed. It should explain a lot.", She babbled on about some nonsense, and Jacob pretended to listen.
A curse.
That word ran through his head. "Hey, where's that red headed chick that reads palms or something.", he asked Annabeth.
"You're the dumbest child of Athena I've met.", she sighed and continued, "Rachel Dare, she's usually around the Big House, and she gives prophecies. She isn't a palm reader, although Percy's asked her before. She didn't take that well.", she smirked.
Jacob half smiled back.
---------
Rachel
---------
"Are you sure Athena claimed you, because right now you're talkin' some bull.", Rachel sat quietly in the corner of the attic in the Big House. She flipped through pages, glancing up at Jacob.
"I don't really think she's cursed, Jacob.", she rolled her eyes.
Large stacks of old mythology books were piled into one side of the attic, and Jacob searched through them quickly on an old wooden table in the center of the room.
"Then there must be someone who summoned that Chimera attack. I can't stand a mystery.", he shut a book in frustration.
Curses for Dummies
Rachel chuckled.
"A typical child of Athena. Always wanting answers.", she combed her fingers through her curly red hair.
"Chiron's already got a few people on that case, but I honestly don't think it's gonna do much.", she shrugged and continued flipping through her book.----------
Jacob
----------
"You know I'm just really having a bad feeling about -",
Thud.
Rachel drops her book, interrupting Jacobs sentence.
"Rachel...?", he spoke quietly as she fell onto her knees, then suddenly rose. She was levitating. Green gas seemed to spew out of her mouth as she spoke.A necklace holds the answers to all,
Summoned by Tartarus, they all will fall.
Long strife awaits the unlucky one,
Who has fallen in a love that can't be undone. A true soul, only those will see,
an ending with the death of the sea.Rachel collapses, and the green gas disappears.
Jacob, still fazed by what had happened, helped Rachel back into the wooden chair she was sitting on.
"Remind me to never ask you for a palm reading.", he joked, but the tension was palpable.
Rachel gained consciousness within the next minute or so.
"I gave a prophecy, didn't I?", she mumbled, rubbing her temples the same way Annabeth did.
"Yea, it didn't sound too good....", Jacob scratched the back of his neck.
"Alright, let's go find Chiron. We've got a prophecy to fulfill.", Rachel said, though it sounded like more of a burden than anything else.
Jacob paused at the door, and spun around to meet Rachel's eyes.
"Did you know you spew green gas when you announce prophecies?", Jacob asked.
"Why yes, yes I did.", she responded and crossed her arms.
"Would you be interested in some Listerine?", he asked, but her response was a slap across the face.
"We have much worse things to worry about than my oracle breath."
