Annabeth

------------

Annabeth sat comfortably inside the Poseidon cabin. She sat on the edge of her companion's, Percy Jackson's, bed. She reached over and gently stroked her fingers through his wavy, sea breezed hair. He was heavily sleeping, but Annabeth didn't mind. She had never seen him so innocent when he slept. His warm cheeks glowed and his soft lips parted slightly. His shaggy hair and beautiful eyelashes looked wild for some people, but for Annabeth, it was her everything.

Annabeth never thought she would get the future she had wanted with Percy, but now she realized she could. She was free from the cage that once held her thoughts inside her mind. The cage that has said she could never have the life that she wanted with Percy. But now she had found the key into her mind. She was able to have the future Percy and she deserved.

Annabeth stroked her fingers through Percy's hair one last time, and kissed him softly on his warm cheek. "Wake up, Seaweed Brain.", she whispered, pushing a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. "I am awake.", Percy replied suddenly. His eyes opened as he lifted himself up into a sitting position. His eyelashes casted shadows onto his face, and his green eyes were more light than ever before. He smiled a goofy smile and pressed a kiss onto Annabeth's forehead. He ran his fingers through his hair and opened the small window which was placed above his bed's headboard.

The morning light poured through the window, making Annabeth's grey eyes bright. She slowly kissed Percy, then pulled him into a hug. He still smelled like the sea. She missed that smell every time he wasn't with her.

Suddenly, the large ringing of a bell summoned every camper to the dining pavilion for breakfast. "I'm starving.", Percy smiled as he hopped out of his bed, still wearing his striped pajama pants and plain white t-shirt. Annabeth laughed and held Percy's hand as they walked out of the cabin together. The day was just all too perfect.
