Everything was black, no light, no anything, it is as if I was trapped in a closet having nightmares. I felt like everything was collapsing and being repaired at the same time.

Everything was flashing before my eyes, my childhood--- everything in such a vivid capsule of memory. I was seeing the light... I tried to reach for it...

And everything was abruptly dark, I couldn't feel a thing. It feels as though every part of my body is losing control of itself and dissipating into nothingness--- dead.

At one point, the pain faded; everything was gone.

And then it felt as though every bone in my body is crumbling to dust and I felt my muscles rip each other out.

I saw lights that were flickering. I... I am alive.

I woke up with a feral scream and sitting up. I felt weird, I actually feel fine this time...

I looked around and learned that no one else was there. I kept every burning question in my mind buried in the deepest part of my mind. I kicked the door open and tried my best to summon shadows.

Along the halls, no one was guarding anything, which seemed weirder as I waltz through.

I saw the exit, I ran for it until a man in a black coat blocked my way. I felt every muscle in me stop for an unknown reason. I felt calm.

"...Please, stop!" he said with authority in his voice. The man had shades on, I couldn't stand the intensity of staring at him and kill him softly.

"WHO ARE YOU?" I said with anger and fear and confusion in my voice. I felt like everything and everyone deserves to die.

"Kieth, I---"

"---HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME? WHO ARE YOU? WHY AM I HERE?" I said making a fist.

"I invoke your every right, Kieth, but not in this matter; Calm down." he said with a voice that was actually making me calm.

I couldn't say anything, I felt nauseous and weak.

"Kieth, I helped you out of death--- you lived by a reason that is to be made." the man grinned, revealing his sickly white teeth.

"What do you mean?" I shouted mildly.

"You don't deserve death yet, all of us have to go sometime but not you." he smiled.

The second sentence, I couldn't hear. I fell down and blacked out.

Something made me see a glimpse of my past, again. As horrid as it was, I saw my mom--- the only person I genuinely cared for. Her face, so happy as she saw me do a castle out of building blocks.

The dream shifted and the scene of my death replayed again and again.

I woke up and sat up immediately; I couldn't handle my dreams anymore... It beats the living soul out of me every time.

My eyes were bloodshot and at least I felt refreshed--- until the burning questions popped out of oblivion.

I was at a military base, that's for sure. The place had an American flag hung on its wall. Pictures of soldiers surrounded the area. I saw a mirror, and as funny as I thought, I glanced at it and saw myself.

I was shocked, I gained a noticeable amount of muscles. And I have a camo shirt on.

"Welcome to my base, Kieth. Let me explain." he said with the same authority in his voice.

"My name is Kiefer Sullivan. I am a retired Colonel." he paused abruptly, "Until everything went down... the moon shining its way to your heart and soul."

"What?" I said.

"You are one of the enhanced humans, Kieth, and I wish for your alliance." he said with a suspicious tone to his voice.

"I have nothing. I am nothing. But why should I trust this guy?" I said quarreling with myself softly.

"Why should I trust you?" I decided.

"Well, together we can exterminate every person that stands in our way; Moreover, you have nothing now." he reached out his hand.

"I approve." I decided, wishing to salt my mouth down till it cracked open.
