Swathi's POV

Dragging Avni out of class was something I needed to do. I was worried. Her expression, her vibe had changed in couple of days. I knew that she was sore from pain and too much of thinking. Her face had lots of questions and she looked like she was weak and vulnerable. I really felt bad for her. Seeing my best friend in pain was not at all my choice. I wanted to help her but this time I could not do that. She had blocked me from her. She was emitting a heavy aura that sent shivers through my body as if she wanted to kill me or may be she wanted to kill herself. Her body language seemed to be different and I could not point whether it was good or bad. Only thing I could make out was heavy accent of Avni. She had changed and became more confident. May be this was just a good change. Her body was getting stronger for the battle.

I smiled at my thoughts. As we were passing through huge hallways, I noticed some Go Karts coming out of the huge empty area. It took me no longer to understand that the huge areas on each floor were Kart parking areas. It was so amazing that we were students of such a high tech college even though we knew that this was college ran by demon that was a threat to humanity.

"Swathi, are you so insane? What are you thinking from morning? Do you even know what is happening? Look at Avni." Monica approached as we continued walking. She had anger in her eyes. I did not understand why but I felt her heart sped up. Her eyes had concern as well as fear.

"Hey, you okay? What's wrong? You seem confused? What is happening?" Monica was almost frowning. I know today I had been ignorant but I had my own reasons, I knew exactly what was happening and unfortunately I did not have any idea what to do and how to act on the situation. I just wanted to brush it up. I knew it was bound to happen but it was too early for my expectation. I had no idea that first day in the college would be so tough and it will start with Avni's activation. Everything was happening in such a pace that each time I blinked my eye; I was scared that something new is going to happen.

"You are getting lost; I am speaking to you Swathi." Monica clenched her jaw in anger.

"Nothing. I'm scared Avni is in pain." I could not go on talking further as Avni was right behind Monica.

"Avni Is Activated and I think she..." Monica's words were caught within her when Avni placed hand on her shoulder.

"Who are you? And how you know my name? I haven't told you my name and you reached late so how?" Avni almost commanded with something like growl. She had dark green glint in her eyes that represented her aura but that glint was not at all pleasant. She seemed to be cold. Her voice sent shiver through my body. I glanced at Monica only to see her shaking.

"I...um...he...t-told mmee" Monica answered stuttering. She had undeniable fear written all over her face. I could see her frightened look. Avni smiled a devilish look. For instant I did not understand the look that Avni gave us. I was little scared because I had never seen Monica so scared neither I saw such cold behavior of Avni. I suddenly questioned Monica by raising eyebrow. Monica gulped heavily and looked behind to see whether Avni was nearby or not.

"What? Why are you scared?" I asked through telepathy link.

"Nothing. Not now. Not here." Monica replied hastily. I could feel she was shaking voilantly.

Monica. Come on yaa. We are in telepathy link. No body can hear us except protectors." I tried to comfort her.

"No. Avni can. She is dangerous. When we were in link during class, she glared like she could hear us.She was staring you like she wanted to kill you. I noticed her. She shot me a glare. But her glare was cold. Her eyes were glowing green and she did not have pupil. You know what it means? Don't you?" Monica was so tensed and that time it strikes me. Avni had Cain's dark powers in her genes and those were trying to resurface and dominate the good side of Avni. I know this was possibility but I did not want it to become reality. I just hoped it could not be the reason that Avni was missing her pupils during her angry state. I became extremely uncomfortable
