Council Against Demon

We were walking into deep forest having no idea where we were going. Axel was leading us in deep forest.

“Swathi, I am having eerie feeling. Axel was supposed to take us to council, why is he talking us in forest owned by Cain?” I asked I am sure my voice was shaking out of terror that Axel might be assassin or dark follower.

 “don’t worry, I am not betrayer. I was scared once upon a time when council member took me to their cabin.” Axel smiled.

 “Yeah Axel, I was wondering why you are talking us in deep woods?” Amit asked, I guess he was worried bit too.

 “Year ago, I came here in search of Cain. I was naive so I thought I could take him alone. I had knowledge of science and I had alone lot of training since my parents murder only to take revenge. Last year I was able to come here. I was searching him and I came across council member who was also searching for proofs against dark followers. The assassin some weak people from dark army or torture them to take out information. Cain knows about army so he had always set his saamils to search Army people and kill them. Army was not able to settle down so many of them were killed. Finally, I joined they interrogated me and then they found that I had potential, they needed system and so I implemented it. But still Cain and Saamils were finding us and that where we went weaker. One day I decided to find a place and later I discovered that woods are completely under Cain’s control. I always came here in the dark after college even after I joined army and found a cave that was hollow from inside and that was it. I decided to set our army camp right under the nose of enemy, here in these woods which belongs to demon himself. And then onwards we reside in this cave. He never found out since past year. How simple. The best thing is to be right in front of their eyes and they won’t find you. “Axel had huge grin on his face and that was appreciable. Axel found out right way.

“Axel you are not worried of these monsters? I mean you are practically living under shelter of Demon?” I asked almost in shock. I could not believe Axel and army council were practically living in the risk of losing their life at any cost.

“I do but as you know, overcoming fear and fighting was only option, I could not deny it and demon and saamils were hunting us down daily. We had no place to go. Migrating daily was way too risky than this, they don’t know we are in their own property and they didn’t expect us to be in their most auspicious place”. Axel explained proudly.

“Who else is there Axel?” Swathi questioned Axel in hope of getting some idea about people in Army.”

“There are many humans, military guys, animals, robots that may help us in rebuilding emperor of fight. We have around five hundred people more than that are killed. “Axel had regretted something that I could not point on. I saw a flicker of emotion that come and disappeared in matter of seconds.

“Nothing that can bother you else than this? I mean about money and funds? How is your funding done?” Amit asked.

“Our funding is done by many good people who want to support humanity, some of us go out during daytime study, work, full time, part time anything so that we could earn our living. Whole of the council is one family. We have mentor. He is old man and is a prophet. He trains us, teaches us and keeps us together. We are people whose family are either killed by Cain or kept hostage. Most of us are rich and wealthy and also intelligent. We invest all our money in council and don’t waste money on unnecessary things like fashion, cloths etc. because we spend it on our strategy against Demon.”

Now this was something really appreciable and I am sure that Gati and Esh will disagree living this lifestyle.

“Your life seems to be hard enough?” We had curiosity growing.
