This is it, I thought to myself. Today's the day. I was nervous, scared.
Why did the captain call me up.. I kept thinking to myself. Did I do somthing wrong? Did I mess up in training?
All these different thoughts kept popping up as I drove the silver BMW to the army base. My name is saber g James. I'm a 21 year old fox with dark purple fur and a little bit of black to. Iv been training for such a long time in the army. I was at home watching the news when I got a phone call requesting from the captain to speak to me, but why?
I nervously drive up to the guard and show my i.d. He opens the gate and I drive threw. I looked out the window as I watch a f-18 take off a runway while driving down the base. I slow to stop and park. I get out and walk into the base, I was in my army green a.c.u. Standard uniform. I walk to the the captains office door and take in a deep breath.
Here I go..I whisper
I walk in and stop. A black wolf with a army cap was siting in the seat.
We're's the captain? I thought.
The man turns to me and looks at me with grey eyes.
Recruit James saber? He ask me in a deep country actsent.
Yes sir I respond. He smiles and stands, I froze as I saw the 3 stars on his uniform.
My god..why does a general want to speak to me? I thought nervously.
My names general Stephen. He says while holding out a friendly hand, I accept his shake with a shaky one.
And it is a honor to be having you stand here son. He says with a smile.
Wait, what is he talking about?i think
Why am I here general? Did I pass training?
He looks at me and laughs
Boy you did way more then pass it!
I froze again, scared out of mind
Iv blown it, I must of did something.
W-what do you mean general? I ask.
Son your scores were higher then we have ever seen. You did way more then just aced it.
I was shocked, I could faint. I couldn't believe my ears.
Higher then he has ever seen?..I thought. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of relief.
So what does this mean? Well I still be station in the army right general?
He smiles and laughs.
No no not you. We have other plans
Other plans? Wait is he gonna make me a navy seal or somthing? I thought. I absolutely hated the ocean, that's ones of the reasons I joined army instead of navy.

He stands up and walks toward the door. Walk with me, and I follow. We walk down past several hangers on the airfield. Finally I spoke.
So what is delta team general?
He looks at me with the same smile he has never lost since iv seen him.

He looks forward while speaking.
Delta team is a made up group of some of the best people we know across the world. Delta has been around here forever saber.
How come iv never herd of then then? I ask.
Because there classified, nobody knows.
I was puzzled.
Why are they classified general? Why them?
He stops and so do I, he stands nobly while watching some engineers work on a fighter jet.
Saber, what if I told you that there are more things out there then just us?
What do you mean? I ask
The general gives a small smile.
I'm saying, what if there are other battles out there then just fighting terrorist and other country's?
I thought for a second then answered.
I'd say your trying to get me to watch some new Star Wars movie
He laughs then looks at me with his giant grey eyes.
You well get what I mean later, you can go home now but report back at 0 600, you well take a helicopter to go meet your team tomorrow, none if which we have just talk about is to leave us understand?
I nod he smiles.

He smiles and walks but then stops.
Oh and saber, try and listen to what the team has to say. You'll need.
He walks away, leaving me standing there speechless.
What..just happen. I thought to myself.
Did that actually just happen?
I think as I walk towards my car, when I sit inside I smile.
I did it.
I said to myself. I really did it, this is my new beginning, or well it be my ending?
