We sprinted as fast as we could to the roof. That was were pepper was last. When we got there my heart sank. The long haired hybrid girl we met at the docks was pulling a unconscious pepper into a helicopter. We were about to run for them when one of the crew members aboard the helicopter fired a RPG at us.

Get down! Zero yelled. But before we could react lily made some kind of blue force field around us. It must be some kind of angel power.

I took off at a full sprint when the shield went down. I heard marissa chasing me at least a yard behind. The helicopter lifted itself up into the air but just as it was out of reach I jumped onto it and lifted myself up pulling out my pistol and shutting the RPG gunner first and as I went to turn around anther crew member nocks the pistol from my hand and reaches over to punch me. I luckily block the punch and reverse it throwing him from the helicopter as soon as I turned around my throat was covered by the hands of a very annoyed hybrid.

I forgot all about her.

She had me in a tight grip to we're I couldn't breath and she looked like she was gonna throw me from the helicopter which was a 5 story drop if I missed the building. She simple smirk at me with deadly purple eyes that the devil had created himself.

She said. Then out of no were pepper awoke from consciousness and sent her combat knife threw the hybrid stomach by surprise. She gasp and yelled and let me go sending falling onto the buildings ledge, holding on for dear life. Pepper jumped from the helicopter and made a perfect landing onto the building and sprinted over and helped me up. I laid on my back panting for a while then stood up. Soon the rest of the team was abound us and pepper looked not the least of tired.

I got up and marissa ran next to me.

Looks like the hybrids are changing tactics.

While the team talk I thought to myself, something was bothering me. What the hybrid said to me.

Soon ace and Cindy made it up to us and ace ran into her mothers arms which was a pretty cute sight. Then I started to hear marissa cough and I turned around to see her.

Marissa? You ok?

She was coughing heavily, and I saw blood on her sleeve and my body froze.

I-I'm find, excuse me. Said marissa and she ran off.

Marissa was in the locker room in the dark, she was throwing up blood and looked to be in a lot of pain. I was scared. I had deep feelings for her and I wouldn't want her to be in pain or danger.

She turned and looked at me, leaning against the locker.

She was in pain. I could tell. I walk over and took her into my arms.

She buried her face into my chest and started to cry badly. I held for at least a min confronting her. Then she looked up me with teary red eyes.
