Hybrid

It happen so fast I thought it couldn't be real. The girl moved in a blur and went for zeros neck back he threw his arms up to block in time just as her claws start going threw his arms, alpha shot her several times in the side and yelled in agony and let him go backing up to we're she was falling over yet again, just as I raised my rifle the unthinkable happen, spikes came out her back, her fur grew longer, her claws grew at least half a feet, and her fangs were longer then they were before.

She let out a strong howl and stood up on her hind legs smirking.

Before we can even pull a trigger she zoom past us, nocking me and zero down as she does and smashes threw the door-

What the hell!? Yells alpha.

Did that vamp just!?

I know alpha I know! Yelled zero

Lily! Track that thing, were not letting it escape.

Got it. Said lily on the mic.

Zero shouts for us to run outside and we all follow. The hybrid no were in sight.

Were it go? Said Kurt.

Lily do you see him? Ask zero.

Copy, she's heading east.

How we gonna catch up to her? I ask, but then alpha pulls up in a white pick up-

Don't ask, just get in! He shouts.

We all pile into the truck, me and Kurt in the back, and alpha and zero up front.

I'll wait for the heli and catch up. Says lily.

Gotcha angel eyes, Kurt saber keep your sights on the target, watch for civilians.

Got it

On it we both say.

The truck speeds to life and chases after the hybrid, we dodge and drift past crates.

Lily I need directions

Ask alpha.

Ok um take a left

The truck jerks to left dogging crates, I hold onto a hock attached to the bed of the truck to not fall out.

Right alpha right! Yells lily and he makes anther sharp turn.

We come onto view of the hybrid. It's speed was so unnatural I could berly believe what I was seeing.

Shoot that thing! We can't let any civilians see it or come into contact of it! Zero shouts.

Me and Kurt fire our rounds at it, most hit but we watch the other bullets hit the pavement, the bullets were weakening the hybrid but not enough, the spikes on its back were reflecting most of it, we were never gonna stop it in time before it escaped the docs and ran into a heavily populated area.

The docs were like maze, huge metal crates stack everywhere. They hybrid makes a sharp turn this time under a line of cranes loading the heavy crates into ships.

How can thous cranes hold up such large crates I thought, I took a glance up and saw a crane with a crate still attached to it a few hundred yards away, that's when a idea hit me.

Alpha slow the truck down! I yelled.

What are you stupid kid we can't lose this thing! He yelled.

Just trust me! I yelled back.

He and zero give a worried look at each other then they slow the truck down. I move my finger to the m22 grenade luncher attached to my m416 and take aim and the cranes hock and fire, the hock explodes sending the heavy metal crate crashing to the ground, right in front of the hybrid.

It's like she never saw it coming.

She runs head first into the crate nocking herself out, maybe even killing herself.

We park at least a yard away from her and her out, slowly and cautiously making our way to the body of the hybrid that lays in front of us.

It had a huge gash in its head, and the metal crate was dented from were it ran head first into it.

What the hell man..said Kurt.

I thought..hybrids were dead..

Guess there not now..said zero starring at the body.

Lets get it out of here..we got a lot of work to do..

all sudden his mic beeps, he answers it.

General, we got a situation..what? What do you mean new recruit..when did this..well be there in 30 mins..we also have a special package out.. Zero turns and looks at all of us.

Lets get this thing out of here and back to base..well figure out what to do from there. I'll brief all of you on the chopper.

We started to here the wind of helicopter getting closer and closer.

As the team garbed the stretcher off the helicopter I just stood there, starring at the dead hybrid.

There was something..not right about it. I kept thinking. Something not right, and the worst of it. This wasn't the worst of it..in matter fact. It's only just begun.
