It's been a about a week since the competition and mother's day is coming up. I've been thinking of what to get Sapphire and I'm sure she's been thinking the same. Both of us have decided to get Rose a bouquet of Flowers and a picture frame of the 4, Greg included, of us. I know this mother's day is going to be nice, it always is.

.:6:30 am, Mother's Day:.

.:Garnet's pov:.

I had set my alarm to get up early to make momma and mommy breakfast. I tip toed my way to their room and peaked in. "Still asleep...good" I said to myself quietly. I went down stairs and to the pantry. I picked up a chair and reached to get the waffle maker and plug it in. I moved the chair to the counter where I began mixing the batter together. The maker beeped and I stood on my chair and pored the batter into the maker. It came out of the bowl kinda fast and I spilled some onto the counter. "oops.." I closed the maker and batter squished out the sides. "Aww man...I'm making a mess" I flipped it over and the timer started. The waffle took 10 min and when it beeped I flipped it over and opened it. I hoped off of my chair and went to grab a fork and a plate. The maker was hot and the waffle stuck to the maker which made it rip and plop onto the plate. "Aww...I hope momma and mommy like these" I said to myself as I repeated the process to make another waffle for my other mother. Once done, I took both plates, with a sad looking waffle on each, and set them on the table. I went over to the fridge and grabbed the can of wiped cream, and strawberries. I tried to make the waffles loo as pretty as possible since the waffle themselves weren't. I poured two glasses of milk and set them next to the two plates with a fork and knife next to each aswell. I stepped back and admired my work. "Not bad G" I told myself. I glance at the clock and it was 7 already. Momma should be getting up soon, she always wakes up first. I ran quietly to my room and quickly made a card for them. I had just finished signing my name when I heard my momma's voice talking to mommy. I took the card and ran down stairs and placed the card on the table. I stood near the table as they walked down the stairs.

.:Sapphire's pov:.

I woke up and saw Ruby smiling. "What?" I said. "Happy mother's day!" She said kissing my cheek. I smiled "happy mother's day" I said returning the gesture. "Let's go make breakfast then wake up G" She said and I nodded. We made our way down stairs to the kitchen. We walked into the kitchen and we both gasped. Garnet was standing with a huge smile at the table with two plates of 8 year old waffles set up on the table. "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOMMY AND MOMMA!!" She said. I teared up. "You made this for us?" I asked and she nodded I hugged her. "This is amazing thank you baby" Ruby said joining the hug. This was truly the best way to start the day.

The girls were playing and I gave sapphire her gift and she gave me mine. I gave her a charm bracelet and she got me tickets to a travel date with her in New York. We were going to go for our anniversary in a month. We went out to dinner and talked with Greg and Rose the rest of the night. "We have some news" said Rose. We smiled wanting to know. She leaned on Greg and smiled. "We've been trying again for our own baby for a while and.." She trailed off. I had a feeling where this was going and was getting excited. "well...." She giggled. "....I'm pregnant" She said smiling bigger than ever. Sapphire and I lit up. "Oh Rose that's wonderful" Sapphire said joyfully hugging her. "Congratulations!" I said and I patted Greg on the back and he chuckled. That night we told Garnet that she was going to have a "cousin". She got so excited and started talking about what she will teach the new baby.
