The cool air whips against my exposed arms as I wonder through the forest. The wind does wonders to my body as I trek forward and pass tree by tree in the humid air. My shoes lightly drag through the foliage of leaves and twigs that litter the floor as I make my way forward. I spot a beautiful stag up ahead, carelessly drinking from a small river.

Trying to stay as quiet as possible I lower my body closer to the ground and slightly raise one of my hands. I see the light purple magic glow as it flows between my fingertips as I prepare to take down my target. I feel my normal blue eyes change into a purple that mimics my magic as I get engrossed by it.

Before I get to inflict the animal, it's already laying on the ground. I notice a green arrow sticking out of the stags once beautiful brown eye. More aware of my surroundings, my ears pick up on the footfalls of a man before I actually see him. Once he comes into view, pulling his arrow out of the animal  I see he is weilding a crossbow. My eyes dart from his crossbow to his shirt and then to his extremely tousled brown hair.

Knowing that this man can do no physical harm to me I slowly step out from behind the tree I was crouched behind. When he notices me he immediately aims his crossbow at me.

"I had that yah know" I said as I raised my hands in defence, showing that I didn't mean any trouble. You never know what people are like, especially in this type of world.

"I've been trackin that thing for miles" He grumbled with a rough southern accent. I must admit, it was pretty sexy. "And what were you gonna kill it with, a twig" He scoffs, slightly lowering his weapon. "Doesn't look like you got any weapons on yah. You got a group?" He ask's cautiously, looking around slightly for any signs of danger. Even though I knew there was none I looked around cautiously as well.

"No. I'm guessing you do though? Any chance I would be able to join?" Being alone for sixteen years, might as well try and converse at the end of the world, right?

"I'll take you back to my group, not up to me wether you stay or not." He grumbles and he swings his weapon onto his back and goes to lift the stag.

"Can I?" I asked motioning to the deer he was about to lift. He looked at me like I was stupid. "It's the least I can do for you, I really appreciate you taking me back to your group, even if they don't accept me." I said with a small smile as I grab the legs of the deer before hauling it on my back. To me it weighed nothing, but I acted like it weighed more than it did so he wouldn't question me.

"You sure, that thing probably weighs round 100 , you sure you can take that." He asked as he started to walk forward, me following closely behind.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm stronger than I look" I said with a small grin on my face. If only he knew. I chuckled dryly to myself.

"Whatever you say" He grumbled as he made his way expertly through the trees.

"I never got your name by the way" I asked with interest as I fixed the deer on my back to a more comfortable position.

"Daryl, Daryl Dixon" He grumbled as he kept walking forward. " What's your's?" He asked as he looked back at me.

" Beatrix, Beatrix Black, but you can call me Bea if you want" I said with a smile as I took a few faster paced steps to catch up to him.

He looked at me then back in front with a grunt. "Not very much of a talker I guess" I said as I looked up at him, squinting my eyes slightly from the bright evil sun that filtered through the leaves of the trees.

He just grunted before picking up his pace slightly. I sighed quietly before catching up to him. It was quiet for the rest of the walk. But it was a comfortable silence between us. We both enjoyed the sound of nature. And I guess he preferred the silence over awkward small talk.

It was a few hours later when we finally reached a tall fence, it had a few of the dead banging up against it, but they took no notice of us as we made our way closer to the fence. The fence was protector of a large building, and as we got closer I realised that said building was in fact a prison.

"Ah a prison, smart" I mumbled with a small smile on my face. It had protection that they needed from the dead, and probably food from a canteen in the prison. And definitely weapons, I thought to myself as I saw a woman with short brown hair that was watching us cautiously as she stood above a large metal gate with a rifle in her hands.

"Yeah, well don't get to comfortable just yet" He grumbled as he singled to the woman above the gate to let us through.

I couldn't wait to get this thing off my back, I'm pretty sure I felt some blood drip on my exposed legs during the journey to this place. Now that I think about it, I can feel the dried crusty blood on my leg. Ugh.
