Mrs. Yvette is Yellow Diamond, Yana is Yellow Pearl.

Ruby and Amethyst had been sitting in that office for 5 minutes, but it felt like 5 hours. Every slow tick-tock from the clock was like rubbing salt into the wound, only emphasising the time that they were going to have to sit in the small room. "I'm sure your parents will be thrilled to have yet another phone call from me, Ruby." Mrs. Yvette burned the girl a look, and she gladly returned it. "Are Amethyst's parents gonna get a ring? Because, y'know, SHE HIT ME FIRST." The 'hooligan' retorted, finishing her sentence in a yell and punctuating it with a slam of her fist into the desk, like a musician finishing on a crescendo.

"DON'T take that tone with me, girl!" The head mistress snapped back, as if her and Ruby had entered a shouting competition. It didn't stop there, though. They both began yelling at each other, Mrs. Yvette's face growing redder with anger. Ruby found a strange type of satisfaction in pissing the teachers off. This was all good for Amethyst. Mrs wasn't paying attention, so it was easy for her to stealthily take her phone from her pocket and tell Sapphire what happened.

Yoooo sapph. my class kinda knows your gay. soz. i beat the shit outa rubes too so im with the head.

She hit send, and quickly put her phone away, not forgetting to put it on silent first, of course. "Oh god, this is like verbal ping pong." She guffawed, yawning loudly and rocking on her chair with her feet on the desk. "Feet off." The teacher re-directed her rage to the other misfit. Tears pricked at the edge of Ruby's eyes. Fuck sake, her conscience scolded her harshly, your such a baby. Yes, she did like getting her superiors annoyed, but she really didn't want that phone call home. "In fact," the teacher continued, "you two can tell your parents what you did, right now." She took out a cell phone, and began looking up their parents numbers.

Ruby stood, frantically waving her hands and catching Amethyst's attention. "Wait, wait! C'mon Mrs, lets, um, settle this between ourselves! No need to involve parents, i am 16 after all." The girl laughed with panic, her forced smile creeping out Amethyst a little bit. "Exactly. Act your age." Mrs. Yvette mocked and started dialling a number. The girl's eyes darted to the door. It was open a little, not locked. She could get out. She grabbed her bag, knocking her hand on the table and dashing out before she could register the pain.

"Ruby! RUBY! Get back here! Mrs. Yvette...!" The secretary (Yana) screamed at her, as she turned and stuck out her tongue. She figured it was the right response at the time. What now...? She asked herself, tugging at her curls to disperse anxious energy. A faint vibration thudded against Ruby's side. Her phone. She yanked it out, biting her chapped lips in suspense and clenching her bag.
