The next morning Alex picked me like he said he would in his note that he left on my dresser, but he seemed different. His eyes weren't as bright as they always were. I was tempted to ask what was wrong, but I didn't want to make thing worse if something was wrong. I didn't care how I was feeling it mattered how he was feeling. "Whats wrong?"

"Nothing..." He said it with an angry tone.

"Obviously something is wrong. You aren't acting like yourself"

"I said i'm fine"

"Talk to me"

"I told you I was fine! Stop bothering me about it"

"OK"

So he dropped me off at school, but he left. I was confused as to why he picked me up and dropped me off if he wasn't going to stay at school. So instead of walking back to his car because he drove off before I could get a word out. So i decided to text him

"Why did you pick me up and drop me off if you weren't staying? I could have taken the bus... plus you were in such a bad mood you could've stayed home."

"Because I had to deal with something."

" Oh yeah and what is that?"

"Ummm why do you want to know?"

"Umm maybe bc i'm your gf , and we need to talk about these kinda things."

"Call me after 4th period and i'll pick you up for lunch. We can talk then."

"Okay"

I went to all my morning classes, and when lunch came I got a text from Alex saying he was waiting for me in front of the school. I walked out n got in the car. I didn't say a word and neither did he. Until he said he had something to tell me. I simply nodded my head and said OK. We got to the restaurant and we sat down. He looked sad and unhappy. He looked up at me with sad eyes. He finally said...

"My grandma she died late last night and that's why I left without saying goodbye I thought you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you."

"I'm so sorry for your loss" I said as i pushed his head onto my shoulder.
