The New Boy

The secret

He walked me home and when we got to my house my mom rushed out to greet us. Usually when the mom meets the boy it's a serious thing, but today when Alex saw my mom he bursted out laughing. I guess it was because her hair was in curlers and she had a grandma nightgown on, or that she had on green face cream that made her look like a evil witch. When he started laughing I started laughing. My mom wasn't to happy about that she started yelling at me right in front of Alex. Who does that?! First of all he just asked my to be his girlfriend and now he probably doesn't even want to talk to me. Second of all my mom has no right to yell at me like that. I honestly don't even care about because I have Alex and that is all I need.

"I'm sorry for making your mom yell at you like that. She just looked so weird in what she was wearing." He said when we got to my room.

"Yeah no don't worry about it she does it all the time, but not in front of people. That's the first."

"Yeah well let's just lay here in your bed and cuddle."

"And watch a movie?"

"Of course it wouldn't be a great night without a movie."

So that's what we did for the rest of the night. We layed in my bed he watched the movie and I just looked at him. I looked at how his jaw clenches, and how he just stares at the T.V while I watched him watch the movie. His blue eye are so focused, and after a few minutes of watching him I guess he noticed and he moved his head swiftly in my direction and he said...

" What would you do if I had a secret to tell you."

" Well I would have to ask you what that so called secret is... so what is it?"

" Hypothetically speaking what would you say if this was all a dare? Like the whole us thing?

" Is it? Is it a dare. Was this all a dare? Get out. Get out of my room. Get out of my house. Get out of my life.

" No no no I said it was hypothetically I didn't mean it."

" You are lying... Who would ask such a stupid question like that so obviously it's true, so just get out of my life for ever. I never want to see you again. This is over. Were over."

" No it's all a joke. I'm not serious. I would never do that... Ever. I know i'm a jerk but I would never do that."

" How do I know for sure. Because I want to believe you I really do, but how do I know you're not lying?"

" By trusting me... I would never do that to anyone especially you."

" Fine I trust you."

So just like that I believed him and then we just layed back down and cuddled for the rest of the night till he got a random call from his mom who I have never met and or haven't heard anything about her, or his dad. Should I make him explain or just leave it? I just let it be because I didn't want to cause more drama than there already was. After the weird call from his mom then another from his dad he left with no explanation at all. He just got up and left, but he probably thought I was sleeping because it was 2:43 in the morning with school in the morning. I'll just ask him in the morning when he picks me up for school.
