Tyler waited for a reply, for anything, anyone, to give him purpose. Nothing. Nothing but trees and darkness. He'd settle for anything, at this point, even Blurry. And, just like that, Blurry was there. All it took was one mention of the creature to bring him back to Tyler's mind. Pain shot through, in short pangs. "I'm here for you" Blurry said, leaving the words echoing in Tyler's mind. He seemed so... sincere. And calm. "No one else ever will be. It's you, and me. It's us. We are one, and I am here for you, just as you are here for me," Tyler felt the pain fade, and it was soon replaced with pressure, on his head and his chest, like he had been run over by a cement truck, but it didn't hurt. Tyler couldn't see straight. Blurry led him back through the trees, to his car. His old car, from his younger years, before the band got big. The pressure shifted, up into his throat and lungs. The car radio was gone. In its place, a gun. Tyler was barely breathing, everything was in Blurry control. He got in the car, and backed up, turned around, and faced the street. And then Blurry let him go. Tyler was in shock. Did his demon just save his life? He continued down the dimly lit street, in a daze. It was silent again. Empty. And Tyler felt the now familiar sensation of being alone creep over him. He could do whatever he wanted, and literally anywhere was better than his own head. He sped up.
