Yang POV

I love hanging around with my sister. We get along so well, she asked me to help her train a little bit after class. They normally lasted a few hours so when we were done it was around 9 o clock. Weiss- surprise surprise -was in the library studying for the exams but she forgets there is a practical side to it. We went for a shower and began walking back to the dorm, we met Weiss on the way and with they two being cute, I thought about the love of my life Blake Belladonna. A mysterious girl with ADORABLE kitty ears that I just love. I pulled out my scroll and entered the pin and opened the door, the sight was not what I was expecting. Blake was playing with a toy mouse.

She froze and looked at me "Blake?" She stood up still frozen. I walked over and went to give her a hug when she disappeared; it was a shadow. I sat on the bed and picked up the tattered mouse "she must've had this since she was young" I closed my hand gently around it like it was a glass ornament "Blake" I climbed onto the top bunk and held the small mouse to me, Weiss and Ruby had stayed up and studied for a bit leaving me there to cry myself to sleep. Of course they didn't notice Blake don't you trust me? I drifted off in a troubled sleep.

I woke up the next morning in a terrible state:my eyes were puffy and bloodshot, my hair was a mess, tear stains down my face. I jumped down and looked at Blake's bed to find it exactly how it was last night, I sighed and got out of my training clothes and into normal clothes for the day since we had no classes. I washed my face and fixed my hair before heading down to the cafeteria. I saw Blake, Ruby, Weiss and team JNPR laughing. I smiled as I saw how happy Blake was, she looked over and froze. I approached her but she ran, I hung my head and began to walk away "hey Yang, aren't you hungry?" I shook my head "I'm alright Ruby" I walked to the city of Vale to help clear my mind. I saw all the happy couples walk back some faunus, some human other faunus and human. I sat down on a nearby bench head in my hands what if Blake doesn't want to be with me anymore? I looked up and a idea popped in my head "bingo" I ran to a nearby store getting the perfect gift for Blake.

When I came out I headed back to Beacon with the wrapped box, I entered the dorm and hid the box in a drawer which contains my hair stuff. I walked to the courtyard in search of Ruby or Weiss but instead I found someone else: Blake. She was talking to Sun, I didn't mind him actually, he's pretty cool but he was getting a bit too close to Blake. He had his arm around her and his tail wiping away her tears, my fists clenched. I wanted to be her shoulder to cry on, instead I drove her away. I turned but Blake's ears had heard me "Yang?"

Blake POV

I heard someone shuffling behind me and Sun. I had opened up to him about Yang finding out my secret, I was really upset but he told me that I should trust Yang with anything. Of course I started crying, saying that I've been the worst girlfriend to her. But Sun reassured me that Yang would understand. I heard the person turn and when I looked it was the person I wanted to see: Yang. I stood up "Yang?" She glared over her shoulder and my heart broke in a million pieces, she had tears in her eyes. I hurt her. She looked away and ran, I have chase but soon lost her. Which was surprising since it's not hard to miss her. Even with my enhanced smelling I couldn't sniff her out. Sun came over and guided me back to the dorm.

It had been hours since I'd seen Yang and worry had taken over. Ruby, Weiss, Sun, Neptune and team JNPR were all in the dorm. Constantly worrying about me pacing the room waiting for my golden lover to walk in "Blake...she'll be fine, she's strong" I looked at Ruby "that's not what I'm worried about" Lies "I'm worried about if she still wants to be with me...after what I've done, when I saw her earlier I could feel my heart shattering at the sight, her heart; that I carefully took hold of, was smashed...how can I fix that? Will she even let me fix it?" The door opened revealing a exhausted and sickly Yang "Yang!" I ran over and caught her before she fell, I carried her to my bed and laid her down, I kneeled beside her "Yang...I'm so sorry" I began to cry. Sun, Neptune and team JNPR had left and Ruby and Weiss went to the bathroom for a shower. I can't remember much after that, I must've fell asleep.

When I woke up there was no Yang and I was in my bed. I sat up and looked to my left, there was a small box and a note there. I picked up the items and gently opened the note:it was from Yang.

Hey Blake,

Where do I begin? First of all thanks for catching me and putting me to bed. Secondly, I don't hate you or think of you any differently just cause you play with a toy mouse. In fact I find it pretty cute. Third...well I got you something to show to you that I don't care but if you don't like it, it's fine y'know. I get it. Fourth...if you want to be with Sun, go ahead. I care about your happiness and if that happiness causes me pain, well your smile will always make it bearable.

I want you to know that I'll always love and care for you, even if you want nothing more to do with me...I'll still be there.

Love Yang

There were tear drops on the paper, not from my tears but from Yang's. I can't believe how much pain I had put her through and how broken she must've felt when she saw me and Sun but not seeing the full story. I wiped the tears and opened the box. I gasped, inside was a small black mouse with a golden collar. There was a small card inside "you deserve the best" I dropped the box and ran to the cafeteria where I saw Yang sitting picking at the food in front of her. She looked so upset but she would smile at the others, I could see past that. She was broken. I walked over and gently cleared my throat, Yang turned around and took up not looking me in the eye "get it over with please" she had tears in her eyes, I cupped her cheek and tilted her face to look at me. I leaned up slightly and kissed her, our tears making it taste salty. We pulled away "I'm sorry Yang, I should've talked to you instead of running away" I buried my head into her shoulder begging she'd forgive me. She wrapped her arms around me "it's alright kitten" I smiled and purred softly "I love the gift" we looked at each other "well...I think you needed a new one" I look away "I had that when I was young" I looked at her "did you throw away the other one?" She shook her head "I have it...just in case, you went with Sun...it'd be the only thing I have to remember my kitten" she began to cry, I placed a finger on her lips "easy there my little dragon...I'm not going anywhere, I promise" I hugged her "no one could replace you Yang Xiao Long" I heard her chuckle "hey Blake...you can play with your mouse whenever you feel like it...you don't have to do it in private anymore" I smiled and reached for the bow atop my head "then I feel comfortable doing this" I untied it and wrapped it around Yang's arm "keep it safe for me?" She nodded and gently reached up to scratch my ears, I began purring as she lead me back to the table and into her lap. I was enjoying myself so much that I unconsciously meowed. My face went bright red as I buried my head in my girlfriends shoulder "aww that so cute" I was picked up and carried back to the dorm. The others in tow "Yang...I can walk you know" she shrugged "this is better" yes Yang, this is better.
