Nervous

Yang POV

I paced back and forth in the dorm, Ruby and Weiss sitting on Weiss's bed trying to calm me down "Yang relax!" I sighed "w-what if she doesn't like me or doesn't want to be with me?" Ruby hugged me "come on sis...don't go saying that I'm sure you'll be fine" I nodded and hugged her back "18 years old and acts like a 10 year old boy" I glared at the ice princess in the corner "seriously though Yang...you'll be great now come on shell be in the dining area" we left the dorm and walked down to the cafeteria where-sure enough- Blake was but she wasn't alone. I noticed Sun was sitting next to her and he was making Blake laugh-so hard she was crying. I deflated a little bit "I haven't made her laugh that hard in a while" Ruby rubbed my shoulder "you can do it" I took a breath and walked over "h-hey Blake" I rubbed the back of my shoulder nervously "oh, hey Yang what's up?" I cleared my throat "I was wondering if you would...like to go to the movies with me tomorrow?" Blake looked genuinely apologetic "Yang...I'm sorry but I'm going out with Sun that night maybe some other time ok?" I looked away "it's cool...I'll um see you around kay?" "Kay see ya Yang" I walked back to Ruby and Weiss but I simply shook my head and walked to the dorm to change into my training gear. I sat in the dorm for 10 minutes or so getting myself ready when Blake walked in "going to train?" I nodded and stood up "mind if I join you? We could spar?" I shook my head and opened the door "not today Blake" I shut the door and walked to the schools gym. It was empty since most people were enjoying the sun outside which gave me the perfect opportunity to release all my anger and sadness on some poor punch bag.

The chains rattled and clanked as I released all my emotions into it: my eyes were red,my breathing laboured, my muscles aching for rest. I refused. I grunted with each punch "stupid monkey! Stupid Blake! Stupid me!" I collapsed to the ground with exhaustion. I stood up and went to the shower room, the scalding water cascaded down my flesh soothing my tender muscles. I cleansed my body of the sweat and impurities before getting out and using my semblance to dry off I got clothed on and walked back to the dorms. I opened it to find the others asleep, I changed into my tank top and shorts and went to climb into bed "Yang?" I look down and see piercing golden eyes staring at me "go back to sleep kitten" she rubbed her eyes "it's 12:30...you were training for hours, I was getting worried" I smiled "I'm fine...go back to sleep" I climbed up and rolled over. Truth was, I wasn't fine. I glanced at my sister and her girlfriend before falling asleep.

I woke up the next morning and found the others already up "morning Yang" I groaned and sat up. I saw the others dressed as well as Sun being in the room "guess you guys are off then?" Blake nodded "you can come with us?" I jumped down and grabbed clothes "no thanks...I don't want to interrupt your date" I walked into the bathroom and got dressed. The door slammed open "what the hell is your problem!?" I looked at Blake "my problem? I don't have a problem! What makes you think I have a problem?" She clenched her fists "because you've been weird ever since I turned you down from that movie request yesterday" I looked away "I want to know the reason why you've been so grumpy" I clenched my fists "tell me!" I shook my head "Yang-?" "I like you ok!? I always have! Happy now?" I ran out of the bathroom and the dorm. I ignored the pain in my muscles from the night prior, I kept running until I reached the forest. I sat down on a cliff and held my head in my hands "I'm such a goddamn fool!" I sat and watched the forest in front of me. Fully aware of my surrounding and my feelings.

Nightfall came and I decided to head back to the dorm. I reached the door and heard laughing, I opened it slightly and saw Blake and Sun laughing again. I sighed and walked to a nearby balcony, I leaned against the railing "you alright Yang?" I turned around and saw Glynda "yes Professor" I turned back, I heard heels and then saw her behind me "I know that look...I've experienced heartbreak a few occasions myself" I ran a hand through my golden locks "its Blake...I really like her and she knows that but now I feel as if things will be awkward between us...I can't risk losing her" Glynda sighed "Yang...I highly doubt you'll lose her"
"Thanks Glynda but I'd prefer if I was left alone for a while" she nodded and walked away

I sighed and rested my head against my hands. I heard footsteps "Yang?" I turned around "Blake?" She approached me "talk to me please?" I shook my head "there's nothing to talk about...just forget what I said please and live your life with Sun?" She looked at me "why are you saying this?" I looked away "I heard you laughing with Sun...I haven't made you laugh like that in a while and earlier with Sun at the movies...I know the signs just promise me you'll stay friends with me...I can't lose you" I turned away and leaned back against the railing "Yang..." she hugged mez her arms wrapping around her waist "Yang...you completely misunderstood" I could feel myself getting angry "misunderstood what?!" I turned around fists clenched "I know you like Sun and that Sun likes you...what's to misunderstand?!" I lost it and punched her in the face. I stood there over her unconscious body, slowly turning back to normal "Blake?" I picked her up "oh no" I ran to the infirmary. They took her off me and I waited outside. After a few hours a nurse walked out "she's stable but unconscious" I nodded "can I see her?" "I'm afraid you can't" I looked to my right and saw Professor Ozpin "we know you were the cause of this and as a precaution we are putting you in a monitored room...with limited contact with your team mates" I nodded "I just wanted to apologise to her...but I understand" I walked to him and followed him to a room where I entered "will the others know?" Ozpin sipped his coffee "yes they will know" I nodded and sat on the bed "ok" he went to shut the door "goodnight Yang" I sighed "goodnight Professor Ozpin" he shut the door. Leaving me alone.

Three weeks later

It has been three weeks since I was put in this room. Three weeks since I hit Blake. Three weeks since I saw anyone. I sat on my bed staring off into nothing when the door opened, I looked up and saw Ruby, Weiss and Blake? I stood up and backed into a corner "stay away...please I don't want to hurt any of you" I glanced at Blake "Blake...please stay away from me, I-I can't hurt you again, I'm sorry" Blake stepped forward "Ruby, Weiss leave us" they nodded and left. I shrunk I'm the corner "Blake please don't" she kneeled in front of me and hugged me "Blake?" She shushed me "relax...you've been three weeks without contact" I pulled my hands into my chest "Blake...I hit you...I can't forgive myself for that neither should you" she tilted my head up "you would never hurt me...I wanted to say that me and Sun were never a thing" I looked at her but looked away "you weren't?" She shook her head "he was simply a friend" I nodded "I meant to say that I like you too" I looked up at her shocked ignoring the bruise on her face "but...I haven't made you laugh like that in months" she shushed me "you brighten up my day every day...just because you don't make me laugh hard doesn't mean I'm not happy around you" she leaned in and pulled me close nuzzling my neck "now come on...let's get you back to the dorm" she helped me up and we walked back to the dorms. Ruby and Weiss were no where to be found, she left me and got ready for bed. I stood nervously "Blake?" She turned around "yeah?" I looked at the floor "would you like to go to the cinema sometime?" She chuckled and walked over tilting my head up "I'd love to" I smiled for the first time in three weeks "come on" she lead me to the bed and climbed into hers "can-can I sleep with you tonight?" She looked at me and I began to climb my bed "forget I said that" she tugged my shirt "come here" she opened the covers and I climbed in. She rested her head against my chest and began to gently purr, I wrapped my arms around her and gently kissed her ears. I took a shaky breath and fell asleep.

I woke up in a cold sweat "Yang...come on your ok" I looked at Blake "Blake?" She smoothed my hair "relax...I'm here" I hugged her tightly "nightmare?" I nodded into her chest "what was it about?" I took a shaky breath "the night relived...over and over again...every night it's the same...I haven't had a peaceful sleep since Blake I'm so sorry!" She hugged me and kissed my lips "it ok kid...I love you remember that" I nodded and laid down "that's it" she hugged me and I smiled "night Blake" she kissed me and held me close "night Yang" and since then I wasn't nervous now that I had Blake with me.
