You are 7 years old and you are playing outside in the front yard. The new neighbors from across the street are unloading from the moving truck. The family consisted of a trio of skeletons. First there was a tall figure that had two cracks along his skull that wore a long black cloak, but he scared you mostly. Then there was another tall skeleton that was wearing armor and a red long scarf around his neck. He always had a large smile and you were able hear him from across the street every time he spoke. The smallest one in the trio was the one that interested you the most. He looked around your height and age. He wore a blue hoodie that looked a couple sizes to big, black shorts, and pink fluffy slippers. He would mostly have a lazy smile plastered on his face, but when his smile looked genuine it made you feel something. You knew this was love. Something about that smile made you wonder why you felt this way. You wanted to get to know him to befriend him. There was just something about him in that everlasting smile.

You walked up to the moving truck to greet the skeleton in blue."Hello there."

He glaced you over with that lazy smile."hey." He picked up a box and started to walk over to the door of his new home. "C'ya."

"Wait!" You pulled on his hoodie and he fell back. You pulled your hands to your mouth in shock."I'm sorry I just wanted to ask if-" while saying this you quickly offering a hand help him up.

He stood himself up and gave you a menacing glare. What shocked you most was his flaring blue eye. "What?!" You just starred at him not saying a word. He lifted the box once more and left into the home closing the door rather harshly.

You waited outside for the skeleton to come out again. You did bump into the tall skeleton with the cracks on his skull. He looked at you confused every time he came back for another box. You didn't bother talking to him though, you just wanted to talk to the cute one in the blue hoodie.

"Are you looking for Sans?" He looked down at you. You tilted your head questioning his obscured voice.

"Sans?" You asked in a low voice not looking at the other skeleton.

"My son." You wondered if that was the small skeletons name.

"I h-have to go." You didn't want to be there anymore if the shorter skeleton wasn't there. You decided you'd try again some other time. "Bye." You walked faster than usual across the street back into your house going straight for the window. You waited for the skeleton to go inside. When he was gone you went outside heading for the corner of your street where you would sit down beside a large tree.

You've been going there ever since you found it. You came hear every time you wanted to think about things or just for fun. It was like a companion to you because you can just talk about things and the tree wouldn't talk back, ask questions, or judge you.

You sat down leaning your head on the trees bark. Unlike other trees it wasn't uncomfortable to do so. You closed your eyes and sighed thinking about what you had done. You felt guilt thinking that maybe if you hadn't done that you could've been friends. You felt a slight breeze go past you moving your hair in its direction. You opened your eyes and smiled. You fixed your hair starting to think about the skeleton in blue. You were going to make it up to him, and become his friend. You felt determination go through you. Your smile widened at the thought.

Today was the first day of third grade for you. You were in your seat watching the other students running around in the class with a rather bored expression on your face. You did this while holding a pencil in your head tapping it along the desk creating a rhythmic tune. You sighed and your eyes faultered to the pencil tapping on the desk. The door to the class had opened and your jaw dropped when you saw the small skeleton standing there with a lost expression. His eyes wandered around the class as he was walking in. He spotted you and his expression became annoyed. He rolled his eyes looking down to his slippers. You felt your heart skip a beat.
