As you looked out the window of your house watching the wind sway through the trees you thought to yourself winter time was on its way, and today would be a good day to find a new hoodie. You find the thickest sweatshirt you own before you put it on as you head outside of your home to your car. When you get to your car you quickly unlock it and get yourself inside not wanting to be near any part of the whistling wind. You brush out the strands of hair that were misplaced sighing as you get your keys to turn on the car.
As you drive along the streets heading into the same old traffic you debate on were you should start looking for a new hoodie. You decide maybe the mall would have some nice ones you could be interested in. You were picky when it came to buying new clothing so it was important that this hoodie had to be perfect. This is also the reason why you'd have to go to several different places to find probably only one article of clothing taking up the entire day. It'd be a surprise if they'd open up a new shop where they'd just sell your taste of clothing. A miracle actually.
You get to the mall and start looking around the few places you mostly go to when you're at the mall. The first place only had a couple sweaters being sold that wear actually not being imprinted with the large letters of the store logo. Although they didn't really please you either. The second place you went to had sweaters that were either way to thin or way to thick. Its not like you lived in the arctic, but it was also not just a couple degrees that went down either. The third place you went to had decent sweaters.
You touched the material of each hood you passed by. They were extremely soft and comfortable. Some had small graphics on them and others were just plain. You didn't really want one of those bright sweaters that made you stand out so you stuck to the side of the store that sold plain bold colored sweaters. As you looked at the sweaters you'd sometimes wish one was a darker color or that they didn't have a zipper. Also you'd get upset when you'd find out that they sold out on your size. You move some of the sweaters hoping to find a different one hiding, then there it was. A blue sweater that was in your size with white soft fur along its hood. It was simple yet perfect, and it was the last one left. You smile feeling accomplished before reaching out to grab it. Before you can grab it a light blue aura surrounded the sweater. You back away confused also slightly scared of the situation. The sweater hovered over your head and flew towards the entrance of the store.
You turn to find a skeleton with a hand in the air with the same color aura. The sweater had fallen into his grasp making the blue aura disappear. You get a better look at the skeleton that wore a plain white T-shirt, (I know he has the sweater before they leave the underground, but just go along with it ;-;) black basketball shorts with a single white stride on both sides, and faded pink slippers. He wasn't alone although, a child was by his side in a blue magenta striped sweater with some blue jeans. You couldn't really tell if they were a boy or girl, but you put the thought a side as you brought your focus back on the sweater.
"Hey that's stealing!" You gave the skeleton an enraged look as you made your hands into fist. The skeleton only responded with a smirk. It was only moment later that he gave an actual response.
"Heh. When was this ever yours?" This only made you angrier, but speechless knowing he was right. His shit eating grin only got wider seeing your expression change.
"I-I saw it first!" You muttered out like a child. You tried to grab the sweater from his grasp, but fail when you surrounds it in a blue aura making it hover over the both of you.
"Well I grabbed it first, and now-" he took out more money than the price of the sweater, and placed it on the counter in front of the cashier."-payed for it first." You looked at the cashier with an annoyed and confused look. He just shrugged before going back to the money.
"I can't believe you sold it to him! You saw me come in first! I should be the one who'd buy that sweater!" You ranted out to the cashier. He didn't respond. Moments later the skeleton spoke breaking the silence.
"You sweater believe it." After he spoke those words with pride in his tone of voice, he, the cashier, and the kid bursted into laughter. You rolled your eyes, and faced the skeleton crossing your arms.
"Are you serious?" His shit eating grin grew even wider.
"No-" you can hear the kid laughing as if he knew what he was about to say. "-I'm Sans." The three burst into laughter once again leaving you confused. You repeat his words in your mind a few times before you placed a hand to your forehead realizing that he had made another joke. You immediately despised the name. Sans.
