Chapter Three

Sadie’s P.O.V.

Saturday quickly came and Soda came in to wake me up. I was sleeping until I heard the door open. I opened my eyes a crack and saw Soda standing there. I shut my eyes and heard him come over to the bed. “I know you’re awake” He said as he pulled the covers off of me.

I opened my eyes “Well I was sleeping until someone came in and rudely pulled the covers off of me.”

“Is that my shirt?” He asked completely ignoring my complaint.

“Yes it is your shirt.” I said sitting up.

He smirked “Why are you wearing it?”

“’Cause it’s comfy” I answered.

I got up and went to go bathroom. When I reached my bedroom door, just before I opened the door Soda wrapped his arms around my waist he kissed my neck and I smiled. “Well it looks good on you”

“Thanks. By the way you’re watching Dakota today, while me and Lucy go out.”

“Wait, what are you guys going to do that I need to watch her?”

“I don’t know, to do girl stuff, besides you’ll get to spend some quality time with your god-daughter.” I told him unwrapping myself from his arms.

“I guess so” He didn’t seem very enthusiastic.

“Don’t worry babe, it’ll just be a few hours I’ll be home tonight and we can spend all night together I promise.” I leaned in and kissed him.

We just happened to be right outside of Ponyboy and Soda’s room. Pony also just happened to open the door while we were kissing. “Ok not my first choice to see outside my door first thing in the morning.” He said sarcastically. I laughed pulling away from Soda even though I could’ve stayed there all day.

“Thank you now can I get by I have to go to the bathroom” he said.

“NO!” I screeched pushing him to the floor. I turned and ran towards the bathroom. Ponyboy quickly got up and ran after me. I slammed the door shut in his face just before he ran in. I laughed in triumph.

‘Ok will you at least hurry up I really gotta go!” He said from outside the door.

I could hear Soda laughing in the background. I walked out and Pony ran in after me. I laughed some more then went to call Lucy. The phone didn’t ring for long before she picked up. “Hello?” She said.

“Hey Luce I just got up Soda said he’d watch Dakota you guys can come over whenever.”

“Okay we’ll be over in about an hour.”

“Okay see ya then.” We both hung up after that.

I went into the living room where Soda and Ponyboy were sitting on the couch. “Sadiiiiiiiie” Pony whined.

“What?” I said.

“I’m hungry” He replied.

“So go eat something.” I told him.

“Will you make me something?” He asked

“I guess but you and Soda have to do the dishes.” I said.

“Hey, hey, hey why do I have to do dishes? I never even said I was hungry!” Soda complained.

“Really?” I questioned “So if I make a fresh chocolate cake and pancakes you won’t eat any of it?”

“I never said that. You don’t have to be hungry to eat.” He countered.

“I don’t care if you’re hungry or not hungry you’re doing the dishes end of discussion.” I said then went into the kitchen before he could say anything else.
