There wasn't much choice of the matter. If they wanted to survive they had to run. There were Sherrens everywhere. They dodged the trees and tried to keep speed. Behind them they heard thousands of ear aching screeches. Neither of them knew what came next. Then out of nowhere came a loud scream. Latch turned around to see a large chunk of muscle and skin torn off of Rodrick's shoulder. Followed by laughter, He looked up toward the noise and saw a figure clothed in a tattered red cloak with large black claws and a black mask that appeared to be made out of coal.

"So, we finally meet in person!" spoke the figure.

Latch was confused. He had never seen this man but felt a slight sense of anger towards him.

"Oh yes, excuse my manners I have not introduced myself. For I am Joseph. Perhaps I can give you hints by forcing you to remember?" said the man as he pointed his arm towards latch and opened his claws, then he shouted.

"MEMENTO MEI!"

Suddenly memories of King Jay's death flooded back into Latch's mind. He saw the claw marks on Jay's chest. He saw the claws of figure. They were crusted with dried blood.

"You bastard!" cried Latch.
