Lydia's POV

*Buzz Buzz* 

My eyes slowly open as I grab my phone and slide across. 

"Hey Lyds, it's Zoe," The person on the other end says. 

"Hey Zoe, what's up?" 

"Well, you said you'd call me yesterday after the appointment, but you didn't... and I need someone to do my make-up and stuff because Alfie's taking me out for dinner for our four years."

"Oh yeah, that's right! Congratulations on four years! How about we have a movie day out of it? Come around in your onesie, bring snacks, and we can binge watch movies?" 

"Sounds like a good idea! See you in a few," I hang up the phone and jump out of bed, slipping into my fluffy bear onesie. After gathering all the snack food in my house, as well all my blankets, I flick my tv on to Netflix after placing everything down onto my coffee table. 

Zoe arrives only 10 minutes after getting out of bed. She stands behind the door, a bag of sweets in one hand and a bag of make-up in the other. She wears a dark grey racoon onesies, and a dress is thrown over her shoulder. I welcome her inside, trapping out the cold. After placing all her things for her date in my room, the two of us are cuddled underneath layers of blankets, a bowl of popcorn resting between us. She looks at me expectingly.

"So, am I going to be an aunty?" She says.

"Uh, that you are," I smile a small smile, still not too happy about it.

"Wow, that's cool, Lyds!"

"Mmm, that's one way to put it..." I look around, avoiding her eyes.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Is it going to be awkward?"

"I mean, maybe, but you look like you need to talk it out..."

"Okay, yeah..." I look down at my hands, twiddling my thumbs together. Taking a deep breath in, I start speaking again. "So, I'm pregnant but I'm only 18? I don't know what I'm doing... Sure, we should be able to support to it, Joe and me, but we don't know what we're doing?! I didn't even know Joe had feelings until 5 days ago!"

"Are you serious, Lydia? You're so clueless! He's clearly had feelings for you for the longest time!"

"How come he never did anything?"

"How come you never did anything? He's probably scared! But you know now."

"I mean, I guess... Are you seriously okay with this?"

"It's kind of weird, sure, because it's my best friend and my brother, but it's cute if we're being honest. Would have been better if it didn't happen like this and if he had actually asked you out but if he treats you well then I really don't mind."

"I wish it was different but I can't change it," Zoe smiled knowingly, a sympathetic look in her eye. "Hey, don't look at me like that. It's my fault, I shouldn't have been so dumb."

"You say it like it's all your fault. It isn't, Lyds. I'm blaming Joe, honestly," As if on queue, my phone vibrates, screen lighting up.

Joe: hey Lydia, how are you feeling today?

"Is that Joe?" I nod.

Lydia: I'm feeling okay, been better... I'm with Zoe right now so I'll call you later :)
