"Dang, Daddy. Back at it again with the black eye." Aug and Bre were currently on FaceTime, like they do every day after she gets home from school.
"I see ya' got jokes, mama." He put his shades on.
"Don't hide it now. I saw it already."
My head rested on Bre's back. I absentmindedly payed attention to their conversation. I had a long day at work and I'm so ready to sleep that it's unreal.
"Hm?" I answered half asleep with my head still down.
"Are y'all back friends now?"
I chuckled, "Ask ya' daddy."
"Even tho' ya mama was very very very mean ta' me, I accepted ha unspoken apology a couple days ago so ya', we ca' be .. friends again."
Yesterday, Aug came and apologized. He claimed that he saw the situation in a different light & realized his wrong doing. Somebody must have had to explain it to him because I know he didn't think of it on his own.
"You sure wifey would be ok with that?" I mumbled.
I heard him say, "Hol' on fa' a second baybeh girl."
"Daddy what you got me on pause for?" Bre whined. "Come back!"
