You sat straight up in your bed sweating. You just a had a dream Murphy had been banished again. "No, no" you whispered running your hands through your hair. You quickly jumped out of your bed, slipping your boots and jacket back on. You pulled up the flap of your tent, scanning the camp for Murphy. You knew he would still be up. He was always up late. You and Murphy were still at the early stages of a relationship. He still slept in his own tent without you. He didn't like to move fast and you respected that. You wanted to take your time too and not rush in to things.
Finally you saw Murphy on the other side of camp playing with some rocks, as he watched the fire intently. "Hey john" you said sitting beside him. "Hey" he said back keeping his attention at the fire. Your moved your hand closer to his hoping he would hold it. You were nervous he wouldn't but before you could think anymore you felt his pinky finger brush yours. You looked at him admiring all of his features. "Damn. He is fucking perfect" you thought to yourself. "What? Do I have something on my face?" He asked eyebrows furrowed. "What? Uh no." You said knowing he had caught you staring. He chuckled and grabbed your hand. "y/n I know" he said. "Know what?" You replied. "That I'm just so good looking you can't take your eyes off of me." He said smirking. "Oh shut up" you told him smacking his arm. "So why did you come out here anyway?" He said. "I just had a bad dream" you mumbled. "Oh. What was it about?" He asked curious. "Uh. Yeah um. I had a dream you were banished again and they wouldn't let me leave camp to see you." You stuttered nervously. He looked at you and pulled you closer, kissing your head. "Come on" he said dragging you back to your tent.
You took off your jacket and boots and Murphy did the same. You laid down on your bed stuffing your face into the pillow. Then you felt Murphy lay beside you. He grabbed your waist and pulled you against his bare chest. You turned around in his arms meeting eyes with him. You just stared at each other for a while admiring each other's every feature.
