Yet another night with little sleep and with my wonderful luck school started again, and just like the other four years I had not been anxious to go to school. This year was different though, it was after all my senior year.
My morning started off in a comfortable fashion. I woke up completely enveloped in the duvet of my bed, arms sprawled in every direction and I'm sure I might've looked like a constipated starfish, but that didn't matter. I made my way to the shower and let the warm water wash over me as it cleansed my skin and opened up my pores. My hair afterwards was for sure something to laugh at, but it wasn't really that funny when I looked into the mirror and saw that my hair had been knotted in almost every way possible.
" Great way to start the day sasquach, " I then glared at my hair in the mirror and went to go dress in some comfortable clothes. Since it was almost winter I went with a simple long sleeved black T-shirt and some light blue boyfriend jeans and my wonderful black lace up boots. I let my hair down and went to go get breakfast.
I thought about asking my dad to drive me to school but that wasn't possible since he's away on business.
He'd never tell me where he went or what he went to do but he'd always return after a week or so. The mere thought of him not being here drove me insane but it was an unfortunate reality that if grown accustomed to, after all, I believed that he needed to distract himself from reality.
That I completely understood, I did it too.
I walked to the kitchen and grabbed an apple as breakfast but felt something hard in the palm of my hand. I tuned the apple around and saw a little piece of paper on the bottom of the apple covered in neat handwriting. " Dad of course," I rolled my eyes and smiled to myself.
Dear Virgo.
I knew you'd take this. By now I guess you know exactly why I am not home. Trust me, I need to sort a few things out. I'll be back in a month.
- Dad
"Gone for a month," I whispered to myself as I folded the note and stuck it in my back pocket of my jeans.
He must've left some money, I thought to myself and started looking around for something he must've left me in the kitchen.
Eventually after a ten minute search I found a little white stuck to the lid of a cookie jar. I opened the letter and saw a little amount of money inside, so little that I wouldn't be able to order a pizza for two nights.
In the envelope I found yet another letter
You know what to do
- Dad .Well thanks.
He'd never left me alone for a whole month before, maybe this was some kind of test?
Or not, even my damn concious was negative and against me.
I had officially gone mad but decided not to think much about my situation and left the house and started my walk to school. Looking at my phone to check the time I saw that it was 9:45 and came to realization that I had missed the first and second period.
"Shit," I cursed and raked my hand trough my hair. I continued walking and was close to the school when I heard the silent hymn of an engine and looked behind me to see a car with two men inside. Both were very attractive but the driver easily caught my attention when he asked me a question, too bad that I'd missed half of it while internally drooling.
" E-excuse me? " I weakly questioned. He smiled while the other in the passenger seat sighed in annoyance.
"I wanted to know if you need help there with that," I looked at him in confusion till I followed his gaze and saw that it was directed at my books lying on the ground. "I don't understand why they're there, last time I checked I clo-," I took my bag off and saw a large hole on the right side of my bag. " Oh, " I ended off and readjusted the strap from my backpack. I failed to realize that he'd got out of his car and was in front of me until I looked right into a chest of a very tall man.
I had to tilt my head upwards in order to look him in the eyes, and when I did my brown ones were met with ocean green orbs with complete mischief behind them. I took the time to study his appearance and assumed that he was no taller than 6'2. I felt the sudden urge to rake my hand trough his hair when I saw just how soft his dark brown hair was. I looked at his mouth and was immediately caught in a trance when I saw his lips move.
I shook my head slightly and and saw him grin at my confusion.
You've only just met him, you don't even know his name and he probably thinks you're a creep. Stop staring.
" I'm so sorry, I can handle the books, " I said as I bent down and saw him doing so too. " Please , I insist," he finished and picked up my books for me.
He looked me in the eyes and I felt crushed under his stare, well that was until the guy in the passenger seat coughed in an exaggerated manner and left us both looking away.
" Uh thanks, " I began " Allesandro , you can call me Allesandro " he finished with a smirk, turned away, got in his car and with a wink and a simple smug he drove away.
And that's how I ended up on a sidewalk halfway to school, having met a complete stranger who helped me repack my books and made me weak in my knees in less than 10 minutes.
_______________
School was over before I could wrap my head around what happened earlier this morning. I hadn't even bother to tell my best friend, Lila what happened because I knew she wouldn't believe me. I didn't need anyone too.
I've run what happened over and over again in my head and thought of what I could've done to make him stay longer, or even if I should've talked to Allesandro. He could've been a rapist for all I knew, and yet he managed to gain my Interest in less than ten minutes.
So the only assumption that I could make was that Allesandro definitely is not a rapist, because if he was, I'd be in the back of his trunk in his car being driven to an unknown location never to return from.
Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic afterall but hey, you never know.
I reached my neighbourhood after walking from school for the past fifteen minutes and saw that my house door was open. There was no sign of a forced break in and all I could assume was that the person was still inside, so I decided to check it out.
I bent down and just for incase I grabbed the can of pepperspray I had hidden in one if the flower pots.
"Just to be safe," I whispered to myself and shook the can.I slowly entered the house and searched for any evidence of someone else being I side the house. The ironic thing was that there was absolutely nothing stolen and nothing out of place. Everything seemed to, normal. I went upstairs to my room, still tiptoeing carefully on our wooden floors. I was almost at the door of my room when I heard a loud crack coming from the floors, caused by me. Oh how unfortunate, I thought and sighed heavily at my terrible luck.
Note to self, never become a burglar.
Noted. With regained composure I then slowly pushed my bedroom open and when I decided that it was safe to go inside,I did so.
Nothing in my room had been moved and tampered with luckily and I immediately let out I breath that I had not realized I had been holding.
I put down my bag an stood in the nook of the door when someone came from behind me and put a strange smelling cloth in front of my nose and mouth. I tried to scream and gripped the persons arms as hard as I could but nothing worked. I kept on fighting but easily grew tired when the strange smelling substance sunk into my lungs, finally taking its toll on me.
And I drifted into a deep sleep.
