Insomnia is a sleeping disorder where one cannot fall asleep, and that night insomnia only served as an excuse for Virgo to think about what happened between her and Allesandro.
She grew frustrated with the idea of him toying with her emotions and making her feel guilty about what happened between them only a few hours ago. She turned to her side to glance at the clock and saw that it was well over midnight - she'd been awake for atleast two hours since they got back from their dinner. She groaned and tugged the duvet over her body and closed her eyes, hoping to fall asleep.
It was a Friday night and Virgo and her mom had just walked out of the restaurant that they had dinner at. Virgo's dad was at work as always and couldn't attend their little dinner , and this made Virgo upset.
The wind was cold out on the open streets as Virgo and her mom walked to their house. The restaurant that they went to was after all only a few blocks away from their house - quick and easy walking distance.
While they were walking in the cold Virgo's mom, Elaine saw that her daughter was upset about something.
"Honey, what's bothering you? Was it the dinner - I'm sorry that it's not much but you know that it was all that we could afford," Elaine finished off sadly.Virgo smiled at her mom, yes, they don't have much but her mom used some of her spare money to take Virgo out for dinner. "No mom, not at all really, it's just dad that's all. I just wish he'd be here with us," Virgo gave her mom a sad smile. "Oh I know honey but you know he had to work," Elaine finished off with a look of sympathy.
That's when the coughing started. At first Elaine struggled to breathe as the cough's came and then she began to cough up blood. "Mom, mom! Are you okay?" Virgo asked frantically.
Her mind was racing and she knew that this was not some sickness. Elaine fell to the ground and curled into a ball,"Mom just - oh please help me, I don't know what to do!" Virgo started to scream. They weren't far from the restaurant so someone had to hear them.
Elaine was still coughing up blood violently, leaving Virgo completely helpless. Virgo couldn't just leave her mom. She screamed until her lungs burnt and she felt her tears fall onto the dry ground. "Virgo dear," Elaine coughed while looking at her daughter. Virgo looked at her mom and started to cry even more when she saw the tears on her face.
She was surrounded by blood, so much blood.
"I-I don't k-know if I'm gonna make this b-but -" Elaine coughed but Virgo interrupted her."No mom don't you ever say that, you're going to make this and we'll be fine. Everything will be fi -" Virgo started to sob. She was lying to herself but she'd never admit it. Her mother gave a sad smile and the coughing died down. "Honey don't cry, I'm right here but I need you to know that I'll always -" Elaine's voice came out hoarse and scratchy, unable to finish her sentence while she coughed. "What mom - what?" Virgo cried as she shut her eyes tightly, her hand holding her mom's head. "I'll always love you," Elaine breathed out, her last breath and Virgo cried loudly.
It was all her fault, and no one could change that.
