"Virgo- Virgo wake up!" a voice shouted and she soon recognized it as being Allesandro's. In a split second she sat up against the post of the bed, breathing heavily as her heart was beating rapidly in her chest.
She failed to notice how Allesandro was staring at her, he was worried and confused as to what just happened. He sat closer to Virgo on the bed who was wiping her head sloppily in attempt so get rid of the beads of sweat she felt on her hot skin. "It was her again,I did it again and I -I couldn't stop it," Virgo started to cry. She didn't care that she was crying in front of Allesandro and what happened earlier the day meant nothing in that moment and Allesandro seemed to feel the same. Virgo placed her head on her hands and tried to get her breathing under control.
She felt arms wrap around her figure and sunk into the chest of the only other person in the room with ease. Allesandro rubbed circles on her back in a soothing manner and held her tight to his chest in a gentle manner.
There was no need for anything to be said, and for the first time Virgo felt okay with someone witnessing one of her scares she'd experience from time to time. "Everything will be okay, you don't have to tell me what's bothering you if you don't want to but I'm here if you need me," Allesandro quietly whispered into Virgo's ear.
After a few moments of silence Virgo decided to speak up," You know, that's the first time that I actually got close to almost sleeping, " Virgo said, her voice hoarse. She let go of Allesandro and pulled the duvet up to her chest, snuggling into the warm fabric.
"What do you mean? Do you find it hard to sleep?" Allesandro had a worried expression masking his features and for a split second Virgo felt happy that he was worried about her.
"Something like that. I just - I can't fall asleep," Virgo said honestly, not making any eye contact with Allesandro. Allesandro frowned shook his head. "What do you mean?" he continued tor pry and this made Virgo anxious.
"There's something I have to tell you but -you'll think differently of me when you know," Virgo trailed off. She doesn't want Allesandro to think that she's weak, that something so small as not falling asleep can affect her that much.
Allesandro had a worried expression on his face and for a split second, Virgo started to doubt her intentions to tell him about her problem. "Virgo what's really going on?" She loved the way that her name sounded from his mouth. It gave her a warm feeling in her heart as if everything was going to be okay, but she knew he'd think she's paranoid.
Virgo took in a deep breath and told Allesandro about the incident two years ago. He remained quiet troughout her explanation, listening carefully to what she had to say - even if it was after all one am in the morning.
"Virgo, that's -" Allesandro began
"No, don't please. You don't know what it's like living with the guilt of something like that. I'm reminded every night of that day, every night when I try to fall asleep but I can't because I don't want to have the memory replayed over and over in my head in the form of a dream. I hate being exhausted because I don't want to fall asleep when I know I desperately need rest, I hate this," Virgo ended with tears in her eyes. She never got over the guilt, she never could and she knew that she never would. It was wild to try and think of why she would tell Allesandro - someone she doesn't know that well at all - about something so vulnerable about herself that she's being trying to cope with for two years, but never did.
Instead of saying something after that, Allesandro simply embraced Virgo in a warm hug. He held her for what seemed like hours and that's all that she needed - the reassurance that someone was there to catch her when she falls. They fell asleep like that and for once Virgo didn't dream about her mom - Virgo dreamt about Allesandro holding her.
Just as he has in reality.
