"Jax do you love Ethel?" Opie asked shoving his hand into the motor.

"What?" I frowned, not entirely sure what he had said. I hadn't of been paying attention.

"Do you really love her? Or is she just your infatuation for the meantime? Like various have been over the years." Opie hissed as he ripped out his hand, his knuckles bleeding.

"Opie, I fucking love her. I've never felt this way about anybody else, or at least it's never been this strong. There's something about her, it drives me crazy. When she's with me, there's a spark, it's fucking amazing." I smiled, my heart skipping a beat as I thought about her. "She makes me happy."

"Well it's good to finally hear those words come out of your mouth and of course, sound genuine." Opie gave me a smile as he wiped the blood onto his grease stained overalls.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"Well obviously you and Ethel have something special. Don't fuck up man, she might scare the shit out of me, but she sure is my favourite you've been with by far. She's a good girl you've got, scary as fuck and has balls of steel, but she's a keeper. Don't lose her." He again shoved his hand down into the engine.

"Don't worry, that been playing on my mind. I'm scared to lose her. Whether it's by me fucking up or it's because of fucking Cheek. I don't know what I'd do without her."

"Ethel should be safe, as long as she is with a member at all times. Between her and a member, she should be fine. Just don't fuck up. That's my advice to you buddy." Opie smirked. "Plus Gem will kill you if you fuck up. She adores Ethel, I can see it."

"Boy does she." I chuckled. "I'm sure she would adopt her if she could."

"There you go, another reason to not fuck up and well, marry her one day." Opie smirked. "Like I said, don't fuck up."

Hours had flew by and I still hadn't spoken to Ethel. She was still away with Juice, not once did she return to the clubhouse. My mind was driving me crazy. The fear of losing her, the fear that she was still pissed off with me, the fear of Cheek getting to her and me being hopeless. It was literally making me sick to the stomach. I tried not to worry and I didn't want to approach Ethel, I wanted her to come back to me. Than I knew we had both cooled down.

Sitting outside the clubhouse with a cigarette in hand, I inhaled the smoke as the door of the clubhouse slammed shut.

"You need to go home, man. Get some rest." Opie said taking a seat beside me.

"Why?" I sighed, rubbing my eyes and turning to look at Opie.

"Because you look like shit, son." Clay answered for Opie, approaching us with Gemma lagging behind him.

"Get some rest sweetheart. Ethel and you will work shit out, just make sure she's safe for now, okay?" Gemma stopped in front of me and leaned down, kissing my head.

"Yeah ma." I nodded.

"She'll be alright. Just keep your eye on her. Good night boys." Gemma ruffled my hair and patted Opie's shoulder.

"Night mom." I smiled, watching her walk over to her car.

"Night Gemma." Opie nodded as I handed him the cigarette.

"So you told her, huh?" Clay folded his arms over his chest.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"At least she knows who to look out for. We'll discuss things further tomorrow, we need to enlighten Deadly on their brother." Clay announced.

"Sounds good." Opie agreed.

"Don't stress too much Jax. The son of a bitch wouldn't be stupid enough to attack her while her family is around." Clay gave me a small smile, obviously trying to make me feel better.
