Taeyong had just finished promoting their first album along with the rest of NCT U and were preparing for the next. They had been really busy recording their and practicing their choreography to perfection. He hadn't been visiting you for the past 3 days and you understood that he was busy.
It was the day of your birthday and you stayed up until midnight but no messages or calls from him were received. You frowned upon the thought since he always greets you exactly on midnight, but you just shook the thought away thinking that he might have fallen asleep from being tired. You dismissed the thought and decided to go to sleep.
The next morning, you expected to see him visit your home, but had spent hours staring at the door and yet no Lee Taeyong paid a visit. You thought that he might have planned a surprise for you a little later so you waited on.
A few minutes past seven o'clock in the evening, you were staring intently on your phone as you shifted on your seat which was placed by the front door. You heaved a sigh as you pressed the call button and waited for him to pick up. The number you are calling is either unattended or out of coverage area. The woman on the other line said. You repeated the process again and again and the same voice welcomed you. A crease had formed on your forehead and your thoughts ran with worry. His phone is never switched off unless their manager asks them to do so, but he always informs me about it first. He always manages to save his battery at all times. You yanked your coat off the hanger and sped your way through their dormitory. You rapidly knocked on the door, nervously tapping your foot on the concrete floor. You knocked and rung the doorbell once, twice, thrice, but the door never opened.
Your feet were about to turn the other way when you heard the door's lock twist and the door was flung open. "Oh, Tiara! You're here! Come in!" Mark didn't even look surprised to see you. He gestured for you to go inside and you followed him with heavy footsteps.
From the door, you could here laughter roaring from the other side of the house and you could tell that the other guys were there. The moment you stepped into the living room, you saw Taeyong, laughing along with the rest as if nothing's wrong at all. You marched to his direction and flicked him on his forehead. "Lee Taeyong! I've been calling you for the past hour, worried that someone might have ambushed you or the like, but you were only having fun with these guys the whole time?" You yelled at him, ignoring the presence of the others around.
The guys exchanged cautious glances across the room. Johnny was the first to speak up to break the tension. "Easy, Tiara. You make having fun sound so wrong." Johnny chimed, failing to hold his laughter in eventually burst into a fit. The other guys followed his trail.
"Yah Johnny, there are kids here." Doyoung plastered a faux displeased expression and covered Jisung's ears.
"What did you expect us to be doing, Tiara? Watch a sad movie where one of the main character dies of cancer and cry our hearts out?" Jaehyun managed to say, his fit soon consuming him.
"That's totally something that Doyoung hyung and Taeil hyung would do." Jaemin interjected, wiping the tears from laughing too much.
"Yeah. Ten would also do that along with the maknae-line." Hansol added, laughing along.
In the midst of their laughter, you heard the chime of the doorbell and all of you froze to look at them. "I guess that's the person we've really been expecting." Taeyong's words pierced you like a knife, and you slowly felt your world crumble to the ground.
Tears were threatening to escape your eyes. "So you didn't want me here in the first place? I should go, then." Your voice was slowly fading as you paced to the front door.
"No, that's not what I meant, Tia!" He chased you in hopes that he could still hold you back but you already had flung the door and you were awkwardly gaping at Girls' Generation standing outside.
"Yah, Taeyong! Making her cry isn't part of the plan!" Tiffany smacked his head and he yelped in pain.
"Ah, noona! I didn't mean to. It slipped out of my mouth. You know how much I love Tiara, right?" He answered and you felt shivers run down your spine as he wrapped his arms around you from behind. You still couldn't react seeing all of Girls' Generation in front of you. Even Jessica was there. They looked so happy and it was as if she didn't leave at all. The next thing you know, they started singing you a happy birthday and you noticed people coming down from upstairs. Is that... SHINee, f(x) and Red Velvet? You couldn't believe what you were seeing. You felt like someone poked a hole through your heart. The feeling was so overwhelming that you had to jump out in excitement. You didn't know that your sunbaes were just hiding upstairs. You suddenly felt ashamed for bickering at Taeyong earlier, also because it was him who planned everything.
The party started and Taeyeon approached you as she enveloped you into a hug. "Hey, Tiara! Super Junior and EXO can't be here today because of their concert tours but they left you presents. I think it's in your house by now." She said, smiling widely. You couldn't really believe what was happening. You felt as if everything was a dream. As the party came to an end, everybody had already said their personal messages.
"Did you like the surprise?" A voice startled you as the person planted a kiss on your head. Taeyong always liked hugging you from behind. This time, you spun him around to face you and jumped up to hug him. You stared at his eyes and nodded enthusiastically.
"I loved it. Thank you, Tae. But don't scare me like that again, huh?" You flicked his forehead jokingly. He inched closer and cupped your face in his hands.
"Yes, ma'am. I won't do it again." He smiled from cheek to cheek. Before he could pull you into a kiss, you were bombarded with pillows and gagging sounds were heard.
"Ew! You guys, seriously!" A few of the guys chorused while the others just shook their heads and laughed.
