“What the hell?” James screamed as we came to a stop and both Ryder and I sent scowls his way. “You knew we were looking for her and you took her away. How fucking selfish can you get Ryder.”

“First off don’t call me selfish after all the things you’ve done and second, I was helping her so that she was calmer for this. You would have just pushed her right into it without telling her a word and it would have ended with her stalking out and never coming back so you should be thanking me.”

“Whatever.” James growled and grabbed me roughly by the arm, shooting tiny sparks through me at the contact.

“Don’t touch her.” Ryder growled and pulled his hand from my arm, tucking me safely against his chest.

“I’ll do whatever I want.” James growled back and reached for me but I stepped out of both their grasps.

“I don’t care who you are James but no one gets to treat me like an object. Let’s just get this over and done with so I can go back to Ryder’s place.” I said and walked determinedly past them and into the house with both boys right behind me.

“Well done.” I heard Ryder whisper to James with a smug tone in his voice and a light smile lined my face.

I stopped suddenly and both boys crashed into my back.

“What the hell.” James cursed beside me and I glared at him.

“Don’t swear.” I scolded and his jaw set firmly.

“Why did you stop?” Ryder asked softly.

“I don’t know where I’m going.” I replied.

“This way.” James said, grabbing my hand. The same sparks flew up my arm and to my core, making me want to jump him.

I bit my lip to keep from doing something stupid and focused on the blood filling my mouth. I was biting so hard I didn’t realize when James stopped suddenly which caused me to stumble forward and trip over his foot. A sickening crack sounded as I fell hard on my hands.

“Are you okay?” Ryder asked, stretching his hands out to help me up but I batted them away as I tried to control my tears.

“You’re an idiot.” James said and picked me up gently, being a lot more gentle then I thought he could be.

“Put me down.” I said struggling but he tightened his grip on me.

“Not a chance princess.” I continued to struggle but when my flailing leg caught on the door knob of a passing door it pulled my ankle and I stopped immediately.  He chuckled slightly and I glowered at him.

“I’m the furthest thing from a princess you’re going to get.” I scowled and he laughed and shook his head.

I quickly found myself being carried down the hall that led to James’ room. I scowled at his choice of room but was looking forward to seeing it again. It was a beautiful room, I wasn’t going to lie, it was just how I felt when I was in that room.

I marvelled once more at the colours and design before he lay me down on the soft sheets of his bed. His face hovered near mine, with in kissing distance, and I had to probe the raw flesh in my mouth to keep from leaning in. He sighed, his sweet breath fanning my face, before leaning away from me and kneeling down at the end of the bed near my ankle.

“What did you do the first time?” He asked and I looked at him confused.

“Did I ever tell you I had done something the first time?”

“It was just a guess.” He shrugged and I narrowed my eyes at him unbelieving but didn’t say anything.

He slipped my shoe off my foot but I couldn’t tell from his reaction how bad it was. His face was stone cold as he placed his hands on my ankle and looked at me.
