Chapter Three

“Hi sweetie. I didn’t know you knew James.” She said and I could practically feel the happiness in her voice.

“Only recently.” I said with a smile at James that quickly faded.

“Well that’s nice, why didn’t you just tell him who you were rather than having him call me? He’s just being a boy isn’t he, trying to impress you?”

“That’s exactly it, looks like I won this round though.” I laughed and so did she.

“Well done. Make sure to make it difficult, you know us Silver women, always playing hard to get.” She replied. “But I’ve got to go sweetie I’m just boarding the plane now, I’m coming home for a bit, apparently there’s been some issues with the cafe so I’m going to look them over. I’m also bringing someone home with me, there’s something I need to talk to you about.”

“Alright I’ll let you go. I’ll see you in a couple of hours then. Bye mom, love you.”

“Love you to sweetheart, bye.” She said and hung up. I handed the phone back to James with a smirk and he pocketed it.

“It was a nice try.” I smirked and he just continued to smile at me in an unnerving way. “Now if you would kindly leave us alone.” I said and turned to face Jared and Mikala who were smiling largely at me.

“I don’t think I want to.” He said and I sighed before turning my head to face him again.

“I suggest you do before I have you escorted out, and believe me it won’t be so nice.” I said, not even bothering to act nice anymore, I was sick of this game already. “The guys in the back absolutely love me and would do anything for me, which includes throwing out one of my mom’s contacts. They don’t take to kindly to harassment.”

“Even if it meant they would get fired?”

“I would just re-hire them.” I shot back. “Now leave.” I said every hint of anger in my voice and I felt Ryder’s hand cover mine.

“Relax.” He said squeezing it lightly and I took a deep breath before looking back at James.

“I’m asking you once more. Please leave.”

“I’m actually here as a paying customer so you can’t ask that of me.” He said with a smirk and my anger flew through the roof so, being as I am when I’m beyond furious, I became deathly calm.

“You’ve done it now.” Ryder said, with a smile through his words.

Getting up from my chair I walked calmly past James and towards the back until I arrived at the doors that would lead to the lounge for the security guards. We didn’t have them up front or seen but they were there for cases like these.

“Hey guys.” I said with a smile as I walked in. Each of the six men in the room turned toward with me a wide smile.

“Braize!” They coursed and I laughed lightly.

“Do you think you could do something for me?” I asked and they all nodded.

“What do you need Briaze?” Kyle, the guard who had been her the longest, asked.

“You know James right?” I asked and he nodded, his face in a frown.

“Please tell me I can go kick his ass. I’ve never liked him.” Kyle asked and I grinned evilly.
