Chapter 4: Carnival Fun

The carnival was in town so Jax, Ma, Dad and some of the club went. I went on some of the rides with Juice, Jax and Tig. Jax and the guys headed towards a ride that looked like a caterpillar. I decided to ride another ride then I was going to meet them at the food trucks. I was walking past the rides when I saw a cute guy, working one of the rides. His ride wasn't busy so I decided to go flirt with him, he started flirting back. "How are you liking the carnival so far?" He asked. "I'm liking it." I smiled. "Anything you got your eye on?" He asked while inching closer towards me. "Maybe." I said as I leaned in and kissed him. "Is this guy giving you any trouble?" Jax asked, interrupting my kiss. "No, we're good." The guy said. "I wasn't talking to you." Jax said with a hint of anger in his voice. "I'm fine." I said hoping Jax would leave so I could finish my kiss. "You sure? You didn't look fine with this guys tongue half way down your throat." Jax said. "I'm sorry, I have to go." I said to the boy then I walked away, Jax and the guys followed me.

I turned around to look at a Jax then I hit his arm. "Jax! Can't I even kiss a boy?" I asked. "Not some random carnie, you can once you have a boyfriend, that I have met." Jax said. "Can't I do anything, without having to get your approval?" I asked upset. "The bumper cars." Tig said being a smart ass, Jax and Juice chuckled at Tig. I rolled my eyes then I walked over to Ma who was getting cotton candy with Dad. "Can I have a bite?" I asked. "2 cotton candy's." Ma said while smiling. "Thanks, Ma." I said then she handed me the pink cotton candy. "Are you having fun?" Ma asked as we all started to walk. "I was until Jax ruined my chances with a cute guy." I said. "He's a 16 year old carnie you don't want those odds." Jax said. I stuck my tongue out at Jax, he stuck his tongue back out at me. Ma and Dad laughed at us then they just stopped walking.

I looked in front of me to see the Oswalds. I didn't know the Oswalds, I just knew they owned a lot of businesses. "Hey, Clay." Mr. Oswald said. "How you doing, Elliot?" Dad asked as he stuck his hand out. "I'm good." Mr. Oswald said as he shook Dad's hand. "Mom, I'm gonna go on the Spin-Out again." The Oswald's daughter said. "Tristen, you've been on it four times already." Mrs. Oswald said. "Here." Jax said as he pulled some tickets out of his pocket. "That's not necessary." Mrs. Oswald said. "That's alright, they kicked me off cause I was screaming too loud." Jax said while still holding the tickets. "Thanks." Tristen said as she took the tickets. "Your welcome." Jax smiled. "We gotta go." Mrs. Oswald said to her husband. "Bye." She smiled politely then her and her family left. "Let's on the Gravitron." I said, Jax smiled at me then we went towards the ride. Serval hours had passed, it was dark now Ma and I were about to go home when we saw Mrs. Oswald. Ma and I could tell something was off, we walked over to her. "Tristen!" Mrs. Oswald yelled frantically. "Tristen!" She yelled again. "What's going on?" Ma asked. "We can't find Tristen." Mrs. Oswald said, worried. "Well she must be here, somewhere." Ma said. "No, we've looked everywhere." Mrs. Oswald said, Mr. Oswald walked up to her. "She's not on any of the rides." He said. "Oh My God." Mrs. Oswald said in a panicky voice. Ma and I helped the Oswalds look for Tristen, no one could find her.
