After Hunter left I took the time to text rice about everything that happened and he told me about his day. I was currently just humming to myself when I heard a knock on my wall.
"We're leaving in a while, you wanna come with?" I heard hunter yell from the other side of the wall. The walls in this hotel, like any other hotel, are paper thin and I can basically hear everything that goes on in the rooms next door. I opened the connecting door and was greeted by the site of Hunter in a very messy room. I must have caught him off guard because when I opened the door he seemed surprised and jumped back slightly.
"It makes things way less noisy and loud" I said, referring as to why I just decided to barge in his room without a reason.
"Right" he nodded, as if he was embarrassed he didn't do anything sooner.
"So when are we leaving again?" I smiled awkwardly. There was this weird tension in the air, and it was making me holding a conversation with him that much harder. And I knew the reason behind that tension, and that made things so much worse.
"In like 15 minutes maybe?" He said unsurely and shrugged. I could not comprehend what he said fast enough because I was too busy looking at the mess of a room he was in. "I didn't-" he started quickly. I looked over at him, giving him a questioning look, "I didn't make the mess, it was all my roommates work" he said giving me a small grin.
"Oh sure. You know out of all people, I wouldn't have expected you to be the one pointing fingers around" I said sarcastically. He laughed, which caused me to giggle. After the laughter died down a bit I realized there is no reason to stay here, it wasn't my job to play house with him so I don't know why I'm putting so much effort into this 'friendship' or whatever you wanna call it. "I should probably get ready now" I backed away slowly, still holding eye contact.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked hopefully. I noticed he was trying to be nice. I should probably do the same, it's just I don't really like him, or any of his 'bros' or whatever he calls them. They might be fun or easy to talk to, but in the end of the day I know that they're all just assholes so I don't wanna get too caught up in the moment.
"Unless you wanna pick out my out fit and do my make up, then I don't think so" I gave him a look of uncertainty, but there was still a hint of joking-ness to my voice.
"Okay" he shook his head and smiled at me. I gave him a questioning look and raised an eyebrow at him. "I'll do it" he stated and walked out of his room with me.
"Oh, I wasn't- Um, you don't actually have to.." I trailed off " I was joking-" I was cut off when he put his index finger on my mouth and mumbled a 'shh' noise. I laughed lightly behind his finger.
"I'll do it, you just sit back and relax" he said exaggerating his words. He lead me over to the bed and pushed me down on it so I was sitting up straight with my legs dangling from the side.
"Alright" I put my hands up as a sign of surrender. I laughed at his actions then he started looking through my duffle bag. A few minutes later he pulled out short pink poka dotted dress I bought almost a year ago. (A/N: I'll put the pic in the side)
"There, you'll look beautiful" he exaggerated his words, making this weird voice and snapping his fingers. I laughed at him and just stood up and grabbed the out fit he chose for me, took it to the bathroom and changed. When I got out I saw him laying on his back staring up the ceiling. I cleared my throat, indicating I was there and he sat up quickly and looked at me. I looked stunned for a second and i cocked an eyebrow at him.
"Um.." I started, trying to snap him out of whatever daze he's in.
"I told you you'd look beautiful" he said quietly, more seriously this time.
