Amber had fallen asleep during our Pirates of the Caribbean movie marathon. Which was fine with me.
We were having the marathon in celebration of her seventeenth birthday. She was a legal adult, by the laws of our state, which meant she could get married.
Although, we weren't planning on marrying until we were ready. And honestly, I couldn't wait. I loved her so much. But I had to wait. It was better that way.
Amber rolled over in her sleep, and right I to my arms. I pulled her close. I never wanted this moment to end.
I slowly drifted off to sleep, happy as can be.
