Chapter 11: How ?

[Blackstar's POV]

I brought (y/n) around the town, watching her grin at random, simple things. She even bought herself food---which she really liked. She wouldn't shut up about the sweets. Yes, she wouldn't.

"Let's buy bread next !"

"So you wanted to come here early just to buy every food in the stalls ?"

"Yep."

"...Very well."

I started guiding her through the town, with the princess eating contentedly beside me. She was eating with one hand, though. The other one...

...Shit.

I just realized I was still holding her hand !

I blushed, and quickly took it away. "A-ah, sorry..."

(y/n) turned to me, and made a small laugh. "I didn't mind. Your hand was warm, anyways." She shrugged. "But... We stand on different levels. So I guess you really had to."

"Oy, I'm a prince."

"...Oh, right. I forgot." (y/n) shrugged, but soon laughed. "It's just that---I'm used to you being a knight now. My knight. So I apologize if I forget you're a prince at times."

"It's okay." Not like I looked like it, anyway. If anyone gave me a glance, they'd think I'm a knight and be startled when they find out I'm a prince. It's... Pretty normal.

I led her to the bakery. Well... I feel like I'm forgetting something... But I still did anyway.

"Lots of diffrent pastries..." (y/n) said with sparkling eyes, holding her dress before bending over slightly. "In the castle, they only make cake ! And other expensive breads."

I made a smile, looking down at her and watching her. "About time you taste simple stuff."

"Hello !" That voice...

Liz ?

I looked back ahead, and saw Liz wearing her maid-like uniform, and had this freshly-baked pie on a tray. Surely enough, she froze at the sight of me.

Not like I didn't, anyway.

"Is that apple pie ?" (y/n) quickly stood, and grinned at the sight of the tray and its contents.

"It is ! Here---can I have a slice ?"

I stared at Liz's eyes, and she stared back at mine... She has questions. Lots.

"Of course, ma'am." Liz smiled at (y/n)---take note, the smile was obviously forced---, but (y/n) still beamed happily at her answer. "Great ! And two of each pastry here. I'd pay any price."

"Right up, ma'am."

I calmly watched Liz take the orders gently, before smiling and handing a slightly large plastic bag to her. "Here you go, ma'am."

(y/n) paid the price, and turned to me. "Let's go ! I'm all set."

"Ah, no. Go on a bit ahead." I said with a smile. I have to talk to Liz... "I forgot, I had to buy something."

"Oh, yeah ?" (y/n) made a shruge carefully eating the pie from its little box container. "Well, okay. I'll just look at the charm shop ahead."

(y/n) soon left, and I quickly turned to Liz, who was glaring daggers at me.

"That girl... She's a princess, isn't she ? Not just any princess. She's the youngest princess of Ei !" Liz said in like a yell. "She's the princess arranged to Kid---what are you doing with her ?!"
