Chapter 15: Pricks

[Your POV]

"Damn it," You cursed. "I lost Blackstar in the crowd !"

...Right. You have to get to clear ground first.

You can look for him there ! Plus, you'd get to rest and sit, too. Not too mention, your feet was hurting, too.

So, you made your way out of the crowd. It was pretty simple, since you were nearer to the exit. Best bet you'd get past those castle walls first before him.

And you did !

"Now... I just have to wait..."

You sighed, and sat down, waiting patiently for the bluenette to come. But...

...T-that voice...

You quickly turned sideways, seeing Tsubaki steps away from you. She had her brightest smile, her hands behind her back casually. She had her armor on, too... As your knight.

"T-tsubaki..." You quickly stood up, and slowly started walking to her.

"This can't be real."

"She's dead."

"She died protecting me."

"She died..."

"...Tsubaki."

You grinned wide, and decided to ignore everything. Tsubaki was alive ! Who cares ?

"Tsubaki !"

You said with a wide, hopeful smile, running to your knight. Tsubaki, however, calmly stood there, letting you hug her when you reached her.

"Oh, my word ! Tsubaki ! Y-you're... Alive..." You said between your sniffles from little sobs. "H-how..."

"Stop crying, milady."

"You can't blame me ! Y-you were dead..."

Tsubaki only made a laugh. Then, she took your hand gently, and started walking. "Milady, even if I am, dead, I'm not going to leave your side."

"That's pretty... Obvious..."

You walked with Tsubaki calmly, happy to have her back. Even if she was glowing white---and slightly transparent. And her hand's cold...

You two walked to the forest. You felt like you were forgetting something... Or someone.

"Milady, about your new knight..."

...Oh. That's right. That was what you were forgetting.

"Yeah ?" You turned to her with a smile. "What about him ?"

"I'm back now, right ?"

"...Uhm... Yeah ?"

"...Get rid of him."

You froze. First of all... Tsubaki would never say that. Second... Blackstar ?

He's an asshat, but he's fine.

"You don't need two knights, princess."

"But... No... I can't ditch him." You said, frowning at her words. You stopped walking, too, making her do the same. "I mean---Blackstar's... The largest idiot. Ever. His love for himself is like---what, larger than this and my kingdom combined ? And he's really... Cocky. But..."

"Lanterns. For real. Yep."
