{The music above isn't a song. You may play the spooky sound effects you can hear at the Graveyard for more imagination, or even relaxation! Well, don't worry, this won't be scary.}

In loving memory of Florencia Lindsay

"She's... She's not d-dead."

My mom held her mouth to prevent her tears from falling down. She will never forget my grandmother even though she already passed years ago. I keep on hearing those words from her that she can't accept the tragic fact.

"Happy Birthday, grandma." I said, my voice was uncertain.

"I still can't believe what had happened." My mom muttered with her hands shaking, while offering the Mausoleum Rose Anthurium at the gravestone.

"Me either, she isn't suicidal." I rolled my eyes in disappointment. Kahit na bata pa lang ako nang mamatay siya, kilalang kilala ko siya. She has that strong personality. She won't dare to pick up a knife and stab it in her chest without any reason.

The graveyard was spooky. I felt my rapid heartbeat as soon as I heard the chirping crickets and the sound of the wind blowing my dry hair. Suddenly, I heard a few footsteps drawing closer to us.

"Sorry, I'm late." I stiffen my neck as I turn to look at the back and saw my dad, holding a bouquet of Lilies to offer for my Grandma. My mom looked at him with her half smile when dad kissed her in the cheek. I could obviously sense their love towards each other.

"It's okay Trev. Is everything fine?" She asked, while wiping her tears. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit niya tinatanong yun kay dad.

"Yes. I've invited 200 people." My dad responded, which gave me a clue about what they were talking.

"Is this all about throwing a debut party for me?" The thought didn't make me feel enthusiastic. I don't need a huge celebration for my 18th Birthday. Okay na sa akin yung kasama sila at ang iba na malapit sa akin.

"You can't stop us. 18th year is precious for a girl." There she goes again. It's not that I don't appreciate them. I just want simplicity, that's happiness. Hindi na talaga siya nasanay.

"Ciara had the arrangement for preserving your gown." Dad added, grinning.

Is there something that I can do? Besides, mom already brought me somewhere to fit my debut gown which I'll be wearing tomorrow. Oh, snap! Bukas na nga pala yung birthday, ko. I can't believe na hindi ko ramdam. Wala na talaga akong magagawa.

"Don't be boyish, sweetie." Mom pinched my cheek.

"Fine, let's not talk about my debut here at the graveyard." They both looked at me and smiled simultaneously. But I can still see my mom's broken smile. I know she's still forcing herself not to cry.

*ring, ring*

"Who was that?" My mom asked when dad's ringtone caught her attention.

"It's Ms. Allieras. I need to go back at the office, Sorry." He looked confuse as he wave and hurtle away from us. Well, he's really busy as the CEO of our company.

When he left, I peek at my mom and saw her mournful face, looking at my grandma's gravestone and some of our relatives' gravestones too. It's already night and it's creeping me out. But because today is my Grandma's birthday, Sigurado na medyo magtatagal rin kami dito ni mom.
