I SOBBED QUIETLY UNDER THE SHADE OF MY FAVORITE TREE, TRYING TO LOOK INCONSPICUOUS. I was so frustrated at Jungkook for standing me up again. I feel less and less important to him these days.
He'd been like this for quite some time now. I know he's busy because of his work and I understand. But it's just been so long since we saw each other and I missed him so much.
While I cried, I heard the grass rustle beside me. I thought it was just some random stranger who wanted to share this tree with me so I ignored it. I kept on sobbing when I felt something light touched the top of my head.
I looked up and saw Jungkook, his one hand resting on my head, the other holding a bouquet of flowers in front of me. He was smiling apologetically, giving me that puppy look he knew would make me weak."I'm sorry," he said, offering me his flowers.
Crying even harder now, I pulled him into a hug, our bodies crushing the flowers between us. "I hate you." I punched his back lightly, and I heard him chuckle. "You said you can't come."
"I can't. But I missed you so much that I decided to break the rules and come see you anyway." His words seemed to melt your heart at that very moment. And you realized that, without even knowing it, you had forgiven him already.
