"Are you sure she'd want you to show up unexpectedly like this?" Louis asked me for the third time in less than ten minutes.

"Yes, she was sad when she told me her mom said she couldn't come visit me," I explained, looking around to see if I could spot the house Syd had once described to me.

"But how do you know she was really sad?" Louis asked again. "You guys only Kik each other."

"I just...got a feeling, a vibe," I pursed my lips, starting to get frustrated that I hadn't found the house yet. Suddenly, a bright yellow home with white shutters loomed into view. 8 knew this was the one, because I had asked for a picture along with the description. 

"There it is!" I exclaimed, speeding up to pull into her driveway. There were two cars already there. I assumed one was her mother's and the second...I wasn't too sure about, because I knew her dad was...absent in her life.

As soon as I parked the car, I took a few seconds to fix my hair, before I jogged up to her front door. I raised my fist to knock and stopped when a confused voice called out, "Be right there!"

The door opened up to reveal the face of the girl I had been talking to for a bit now.

I wasted no time in pulling her closer to me and pressing my lips to hers in a quick kiss.

I was pushed away from her, however, and when I looked up, my eyes met icy, blue ones. I could see the anger in his eyes, but I was confused as to why he was so mad.

"Um, hi?" I raised a brow at him, perplexed by his behavior.

"Yeah, hi, why the hell were you kissing my girlfriend?" He demanded, pushing me further back, almost making me stumble down the steps.

"G-Girlfriend?" I was shocked. Sydney, Syd, sydthesquid, had a boyfriend? I knee I hadn't ever asked, but I figured that she was single by the way she was towards me. I just...had I been this clueless?

"Yeah, I'm her boyfriend," the blue-eyed devil practical growled at me.

"Sydney, what the hell?" I ignored her boyfriend for a second, focusing on the girl before me who was teary eyed and biting her nails nervously.

"Harry, I didn't - "

"You didn't what? You didn't lead me on? Yes, you did!" I ran my hands through my hair, beyond embarrassed at this point. "I flew here on my birthday so that I could surprise you!"

"I didn't ask you to!" She shot back. "You decided to do this all on your own!"

"Because you had seemed really sad about not being allowed to come to me!"

"I-I - "

I rolled my eyes at her and then looked at her boyfriend, "Sorry for the misunderstanding, man. Maybe if your girl shows you our messages you'd understand why I did what I did."
